She Sheds – a female version of the ‘man cave’ – are now more popular than ever.

Most are used as a tucked away oasis for relaxation but they are increasingly being turned into craft spaces, yoga studios, music rooms and so much more.

And there could also be financial benefits to having one installed as they are now considered to be a sure-fire way to increase the value of your home, according to recent data analyzed by Zillow.

It found that taking the leap and installing a She Shed could boost your property price by 2.5 per cent. 

If this applied to a house valued at the US average of around $328,000, this would mean an additional $8,207.

With popularity spreading, FEMAIL has taken a look inside the country’s most stunning She Shed creations.

Parisian Style 

The designer said that she wanted the space to be both ‘practical and pretty’ and it took her just eight weeks to whip the space into shape

Ursula said she always wanted a space to call her own, adding: ‘It has been a dream of mine to have a greenhouse in the midst of a beautiful garden for as long as I can remember’

The space also extends beyond with double patio doors which lead out into an al fresco decking area

Ursula Carmona, from North Carolina, undertook a massive DIY project to extend her every day shed into a Parisian Style Garden House.

The designer said that she wanted the space to be both ‘practical and pretty’ and it took her just eight weeks to whip the She Shed into shape, including adding an al fresco decking area.

Speaking about her creation on her website, she said: ‘When I told my husband I planned to transform the shed, he looked at me like I was crazy and asked ‘where will the tools go?”

But Ursula had always wanted a space to call her own, adding: ‘It has been a dream of mine to have a greenhouse in the midst of a beautiful garden for as long as I can remember. 

‘It all started as a kid when my dad built me a playhouse in the middle of my own personal little ‘secret garden’ plot in our yard. [It’s] the stuff my dreams are made of.’

Pink Paradise

Writing on her blog, the mother-of-one said: ‘A few months ago I walked into our dirty old shed and saw the potential’

She continued: ‘We’ve put SO much work into this little space since then. This has slowly become my happy space – always full of light’ 

The She Shed now boasts a baby pink shiplap interior as well as a potting bench, brass chandelier and peony prints

Writing on her blog, the mother-of-one said: ‘A few months ago I walked into our dirty old shed and saw the potential. This was a space that had been loved. And I’d love it again. 

‘This didn’t need to be a storage room, I realized! It could be a beautiful place.’ 

She continued: ‘We’ve put SO much work into this little space since then. This has slowly become my happy space – always full of light.’

She Shed on a budget

Twins Marg and Liz, who call themselves the Fancy Farmgirls, said that the idea of creating a garden oasis popped up from nowhere

The sisters, from Idaho, started off with a simple shell but soon made it their own and were able to create the stunning space on a budget

They painted the interior of the bolt-hole white before furnishing it with plush armchairs, a mattress and an armoire

‘It was late one night when we decided we ‘needed’ a she shed,’ the duo state on their website.

The sisters, from Idaho, started off with a simple shell but soon made it their own, creating the stunning space on a budget: ‘With the exception of the pillows and rug, all furnishings were bought second hand or already owned.’

They painted the interior of the bolt-hole white before furnishing it with plush armchairs, a mattress and an armoire.

The thrifty spenders, who were able to juggle their time despite having 11 children between them, concluded: ‘Summer nights are about to get a bit more cozy.’

She has adorned the space further with a bustling selection of rugs, statues, candles and other trinkets

She states: ‘Just trying to create and maintain a little garden in the big woods in the Sierra mountains in California.’

She added: ‘There are so many distractions inside of our home and it’s been so nice to have space where I can completely focus on work’

‘I love that if I’m working on a project I can ‘leave it out’ without it covering our dining room table.’

Speaking about her She Shed, Kristen Whitby, from Idaho, said: ‘We have worked SO hard to makeover our beautiful [shed]… and it has been such a fun, dream project!’

She concluded: ‘I know this she-shed will get tons of use and I’m looking forward to experiencing the growth of our business in there.’
