Inside the luxury hotel where multimillionaire Manchester United stars will be staying

Manchester United have touched down in Perth for the first stop of their pre-season tour, where they’ll spend the next 10 days in the most expensive hotel ever built in Australia.

The football megastars arrived the five-star Crown Towers Perth in Burswood on Monday afternoon, after stepping off a 16-hour flight in a private jet flight from Manchester.

The 28-man squad were met by hundreds of fans wanting to catch a glimpse of the world’s most famous football club.

Paul Pogba – whose presence on tour was in doubt owing to his desire to leave the club this summer – was seen stepping into the hotel while listening to headphones.

After settling into their hotel, the United players were spotted taking a leisurely stroll around the city to shake off the jet lag.

Nemanja Matic and his teammates were pictured walking out of their hotel and around the nearby streets as spirits looked to be high in the camp.

David de Gea, who is still the subject of interest from Paris Saint-Germain, was following closely behind with fellow Spaniard Juan Mata.

Solskjaer will put his players through their paces during the multiple training sessions on tour before they play the first of six summer friendlies on Saturday against Perth Glory.

United officials were unsure if Pogba would report back for training after his agent Mino Raiola confirmed that the club’s record $159 million signing wants to leave Old Trafford amid interest from Real Madrid and Juventus.

Pogba’s team-mates, who have been back in training for the last week, were also waiting to see if the Frenchman would return after he messaged some of them on Friday insisting that he wouldn’t be going on tour.

But United confirmed on Sunday morning that Pogba was in the travelling party for their tour of Australia, Singapore and China as they flew out of Manchester airport.

Solskjaer is expected to hold talks with the player during United’s training camp in Perth this week as Pogba’s future continues to hang in the balance.
