Inside the sordid world of Instagram’s ‘Devil baby’ Orla Sloan

Instagram ‘Devil Baby’ and footballer stalker Orla Sloan rejected her hippy childhood and launched her ‘trashy’ OnlyFans career from the bedroom of a tired £290,000 semi in Exeter she shares with her reiki therapist mother, MailOnline can reveal today.

Sloan grew up in Devon with her bohemian parents with one family friend claiming that the once ‘lovely’ girl transformed her life, and looks, for the worse over the past five years after being consumed by a desire for ‘social media attention’.

A schoolgirl at a Steiner School in Totnes, favoured by trendy liberal middle class parents, she had had dark, almost black hair, throughout her childhood – but then went blonde and appears to have had cosmetic surgery.

The hippie-tinged wardrobe and hoodies were also discarded for sexualised gear more fitting to an aspirational football WAG since joining Instagram in 2018 as a teenager and TikTok and OnlyFans more recently.

‘It’s simply extraordinary and quite upsetting what’s happened to Orla,’ a friend told MailOnline . ‘She was lovely when she was a girl, very bright and friendly, musical, generally talented. But once she got into her late teens she seems to have been seduced by the need for social media attention.

‘And she changed into this vamp character who was all about getting people to look at her. It’s amazing how she’s changed. And frankly it’s pretty trashy. And now it’s all gone horribly wrong.’

Orla Sloan, who has 81,000 Instagram followers, boasted in an interview last April that she had made £50,000 streaming videos of herself eating Percy Pig sweets in the nude

Sloan, who has 81,000 Instagram followers, boasted in an interview last April that she had made £50,000 streaming videos of herself eating Percy Pig sweets in the nude.

In contrast her LinkedIn says she works as a ‘kitchen porter’ in a Devon fish restaurant. And her love of the sea is clear, regularly posting photos of herself in her swimsuit on lavish trips out Bali, Mykonos and Indonesia.

After her conviction yesterday, she faces jail for stalking Mason Mount, his Chelsea team mate Ben Chilwell and Scotland international Billy Gilmour, who she falsely claimed to have fallen pregnant by.

There is a curious disconnect between two social media profiles of Orla Sloan, the self-styled ‘Devil Baby’ who faces jail for stalking a trio of Chelsea footballers.

On Instagram, the 22-year-old is a glamorous jet setter with 82,000 Instagram followers regularly posts sexy selfies on apparently lavish trips out in London, Bali, Mykonos and Indonesia – and streaming videos of herself eating Percy Pig sweets in the nude.

Sloan previously told her 18,000 TikTok followers that she had received a life ban from Asda after posting a video of herself dancing in the aisles of the supermarket in a bikini.

She also uploaded a video of herself miming the words to a song: ‘I don’t give a f***’, alongside a caption that read: ‘When he starts talking about how much money he has’ – hinting that she is not interested in how wealthy her potential male suitors are.

But over on LinkedIn – the site that focuses on work rather than play – she has just one follower.

And that single person has not reacted to her single status update when she revealed she was working as a lowly kitchen porter in Rockfish restaurant in her home city of Exeter.

She does not seem to have returned to the site to update it that she was later working as shop assistant in a local branch of Marks and Spencer – a regular job she claims to have abruptly walked out on to become a model, a role in which she claims to have made £50,000 in just four months.

Sloan now describes herself online as a brand ambassador for cheap clothes label Fashion Nova.

But like so much about Sloan, there are major questions over how much of this is real and how much is artifice created to grow that Instagram follower number, increase her credibility as a so-called influencer – and help her get access to genuinely rich and glamorous people.

People like her victims, England footballers Mason Mount and Ben Chilwell and their Scotland counterpart Billy Gilmour.

Sloan lives in a tired, three bedroomed semi-detached home worth £290,000 with her mother, Katrina Sheehan.

She was the eldest of three children born to bohemian couple Tim Sloan and Katrina, born in 2001, just a year after their marriage.

Her first name is thought to be a nod to her mother’s Irish heritage. Orla was soon followed by siblings Penelope and Hamish.

She grew up in Buckfastleigh, close to Totnes, a Devon town famed for its hippie fringe and eccentrics, and her education seems to have followed this spirit – she attend a Steiner school, famed for letting children run free to find their own route through life rather than being regimented or disciplined.

Orla seems to have enjoyed a wholesome childhood – Facebook posts from her father show the children playing outdoors regularly, on stepping stones across a river, and having fun dressing up.

They had a gently alternative lifestyle. Her father was into vintage motorbikes – her mother an alternative therapist, advocating cures including reiki therapy and even so-called shamanic healing.

In another image that fits the hippie dream mood, Orla is pictured playing an acoustic guitar in a teepee.

But another picture of his oldest daughter Tim Sloan – slightly ominously in the light of events this week – captioned ‘naughty’.

Her parents are thought to have split up as Orla approached her teens. Her father apparently moved out – and soon Orla and her siblings were living in a more modest small house in Exeter, their idyllic rural childhood now left behind.

It was from an upstairs bedroom here that she would launch her influencer ‘career’. And it was for this that transformation into ‘Devil Baby’ seems to have been made.

She had had dark, almost black hair, throughout her childhood – but then went blonde. The hippie-tinged wardrobe was discarded for sexualised gear more fitting to an aspirational football WAG.

Her first Instagram post, in 2018, was still in the vein of the old Orla – a pretty sunset. It attracted no comments and only two likes.

She didn’t return to the platform for another three years by which time her transformation into a blonde wannabe model was well underway – her second post was a selfie which attracted much more attention: ‘perfection’, ‘stunning’, ‘wow’ the many comments read.

This seems to have encouraged her and soon her page would be a stream of ever more sexualised selfies – attracting ever more attention, including eventually the attention of footballer Ben Chilwell.

The England left back had spotted her increasingly high profile Instagram account, presumably scrolled through her many sexy selfies, and messaged her to invite her to a party at his Surrey home.

It was there that she would meet – and, for one night only, sleep with – fellow player Mason Mount.

She changed her number 21 times to keep contacting Mount when he blocked her, even claiming she had stopped buying food in order to save money for new SIM cards.

Mount, 24, said he was terrified she would show up at Chelsea’s training ground in Cobham, Surrey, and Gilmour, 21, who moved to Brighton and Hove Albion last year, said he was so traumatised he was unable to sleep.

Sloan, 22, was told she could face prison when she is sentenced next month after admitting charges of harassment and stalking when she appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

The court heard the ‘social media influencer’ met the footballers when Chilwell invited her friend to a party at his home via an Instagram message.

District judge Neeta Minhas warned Sloan she could face a jail term for the stalking offences when she is sentenced at the same court on June 20.

After the party, she and Mount slept together once, Jason Seetal, prosecuting, said.

‘There was communication between them for six months, following which Mr Mount decided that the relationship wasn’t going to progress to anything more and decided to end contact with the defendant,’ he added.

‘After this he was subjected to a bombardment of messages.’ Mount asked her to stop the texts and blocked Sloan’s number, but she began messaging him from different numbers, eventually using 21 in total, the court heard.

In one WhatsApp message, using the name ‘Only God 10,’ she wrote: ‘I found out about Bethany, Esme, and more – I will find out everything.’ She sent him a photo of herself paying £12.99 for a new phone number, saying: ‘I’m not buying food anymore so I can get more numbers.’

And Sloan also wrote: ‘I really want to say sorry and if you could just talk to me and tell me how you feel I would really appreciate it because I’m finding it hard to move on from the situation. You must accept my apology and say sorry to me or you will unlock a new character called “Devil Baby,” so let me apologise and make it right.’

Mount then began receiving Instagram messages from an account named ‘Devil Baby,’ which also published a collage of photos of the England star with other women. He and his friends and family were tagged in the images.

In a statement read to the court, Mount, who has 36 England caps but has stuggled for form this season and looks likely to leave Chelsea, said: ‘She knows where I live and where I train.’

Chilwell, 26, was also bombarded with messages from Sloan, and collages of him with other women appeared on the Devil Baby account. When he replied asking her to leave him alone, Sloan replied with eight more messages, the court heard.

Gilmour was also sent messages after the party, and raised concerns with Brighton, which put extra security measures in place.

Sloan also made false claims to be pregnant by Gilmour. He said: ‘This has had a very negative impact; I have been unable to sleep and have had to resort to sleeping tablets. This has had a negative effect on my performances.

‘This was a person I met once for a very brief period. The change in tone in her messages to try and get my attention was particularly worrying. The attacks from Orla have damaged relationships and friendships I already had.’

Sloan admitted one count of harassment without violence against Chilwell and two of stalking relating to Mount and Gilmour between last June and October.

District judge Neeta Minhas warned her she could face jail when sentenced on June 20.
