Inside the tiny house that sold in just THREE HOURS after owners listed it on Facebook

A tiny home recently listed on Facebook sold within three hours of being posted online.

The miniature property was produced by New Zealand Tiny Homes, a company that specialises in building small scale, fully furnished homes.

Tiny homes similar to the demo model measuring just 22 square metres are sold by the company for $113,500 (NZ$119,990) – a price that includes delivery and set-up.

And while the home sold at record speed, this isn’t something New Zealand Tiny Homes co-founder Kylie Thompson said surprised her.

What sets this tiny home apart from others similar is it comes fully fitted out and includes a range of stunning appliances and furnishings

‘Tiny homes are huge right now and our following is growing by up to 1,000 people a week,’ she told Daily Mail Australia.

When asked why she thought interest in the tiny home had been so overwhelmingly positive, Ms Thompson said she thought factors such as price and mobility had contributed.

‘A lot of wealthy older people who want to live life and travel debt-free are downsizing as they just want a bolthole,’ she said.

‘It’s a fantastic Airbnb investment or it can be used as a granny flat. It’s also ideal for  parents who want to give the kids a leg up and have a bit of land.

‘It’s great for the soul and communal close living and simply is also a tonic for mental well-being.’

Adding to the appeal is the fact that the tiny home also comes fully fitted out with attention to detail.

Furnishings include a washer-dryer, a double bed with Lux mattress, a smart LED wall TV, and an L-shape sofa that pulls out to create a queen-size bed for guests.

‘Our tiny houses are made for off-grid living or can use residential services (plumbing, power, sewage),’ information reads on the company’s site.

Those who visit the showroom and have seen the demo home are left wowed by elements such as a fully functioning kitchen.

These include timber benchtops, stylish white cabinetry and a counter and stools for relaxed dining.

The space also comes with an artfully designed laser-cut white screen, which makes a statement while partially hiding the bed.

‘We always prioritise a great kitchen and a beautiful ensuite, and then ensure there’s a place to sit, eat and sleep,’ co-founder Jamie Cameron told Stuff.

The light-filled living room comes complete with a full-sized couch, a furnishing item that also conveniently folds out into an extra bed.

The bedroom features a double bed and a feature wall with a strikingly bold and vibrantly patterned print.

This aspect perfectly complements a stained glass window, and this is a feature that’s also been included in the kitchen.

A full-sized bathroom has also been included, a space adjacent to the kitchen and living areas.

Fixtures include a shower and toilet, however, there’s also a built-in washing machine, cabinetry and extra shelving.

The company adds what sets their organisation apart is they work alongside council to procure consent. The homes are classed as permanent, transportable dwellings.
