Inside the week’s star-studded parties, including a tequila tasting with supermodel Alex Lundqvist

When it comes to style, we are all inspired by what we see; whether it be a well-dressed celebrity, a blow-your-mind catwalk presentation or even a fashionable passerby.

As fashion editors, we’re moved by all of the above, and then some. We’re exposed to under-the-radar labels; we get a first-hand look at collections months before they hit stores; we attend VIP events; we’re tapped into brands with chic-yet-cheap offerings and we shop — a lot.

To share our knowledge, FEMAIL brings you Style Swoon, a weekly series of the latest, greatest and on the verge. We hope this Friday series will serve as a buying guide and point of inspiration for all.

This week’s edition focuses on the hottest parties in New York in the last 7 days.

Friends of the stylish entrepreneur — including supermodel Alex Lundqvist and his wife Keytt — were dressed to the nines for the special occasion.

Jack looked sharp in an all-black look consisting of a button-down shirt topped by a tailored blazer boasting embellished sleeves, and fitted pants, accessorized with exquisite diamond jewelry – the perfect contrast to his platinum blonde hair.

After dessert, guests – including Saville Dorfman, Hannah Sellock, James Miller, Michelle Campbell Mason and Rigo Lora – serenaded the successful 28-year-old with a stunning mirrorball cake by boutique custom cake shop Soma Cakes NYC, before relocating to the afterparty at hotspot 53 NYC.

Continuing to successfully create buzz around the new-to-market spirit, the VIP tasting event follows a star-studded bash at Casa Faena in the heart of Miami Beach during Art Basel and a private party in Mykonos last summer.

Alex Camera, Kevin Carrigan, Malcolm Carfrae, John Wattiker and Alexandra Glibbery were all in attendance to enjoy light bites and a sampling of the premium tequila.

West Coast happenings…

On May 10th, iconic Australian lifestyle label Spell opened the doors to its Venice summer pop-up.

For the celebratory event, the brand threw a launch party in the chic location on Abbot Kinney.

Known for its bohemian aesthetic, the brand is beloved by hippie-chic celebs like Alessandra Ambrosio, Margot Robbie, Vanessa Hudgens and more.

‘We will release two really different collections whilst in the space and I’m thrilled to be able to offer an in-store experience of Spell to our really loyal community after such a long time,’ said Co-Founder & Creative Director, Isabella Pennefather.

SPELL’s pop-up space was designed by their in-house events team and feels like an extension of the brand’s physical spaces in Australia.
