A peculiar Instagram account has made it its business to match up accused and convicted killers with their canine lookalikes.
Killer Kanines proclaims to pair ‘infamous killers and their doggelgängers’ — that is, doggy doppelgängers.
So far, it’s spotlighted 32 mostly-convicted murderers — with a few exceptions, including OJ Simpson — with Rottweilers, pugs, and even poodles that look suspiciously similar.

Put a leash on him: The BTK Killer, Dennis Rader, was matched up with a pug
Don’t trust him: Gary Ridgway, the Green River Killer, looks like this suspicious pup
Fetching a life sentence: Alexander Pichushkin, the Chessboard Killer, is this bulldog’s twin
The account was launched on July 20, 2017 and kicked off with a photo of OJ, ‘in honor’ of him getting parole.
OJ’s mugshot was posted side-by-side with a photo of a Rottweiler.
‘What can we say about OJ that hasn’t already been said? He’s a pro & college football hall of fame inductee who parlayed his star quality and natural charm into a successful TV and movie career. Oh, and he probably most definitely but not officially murdered two people on the night of June 12, 1994,’ the caption reads.
Dennis Rader, the BTK Killer, was matched with an annoyed-looking pug. He was given ten consecutive life sentences after pleading guilty to first-degree murder.

Ruff: In 1992, then-12-year-old Eric Smith killed and brutalized a four-year-old. He was paired up with a Red Tibetan Mastiff
Murderer MD: Dr. Harold Shipman, killed over 200 of his patients by injecting them with lethal doses of painkillers
Bad: The Cleveland Strangler, Anthony Sowell, was convicted of murdering 11 women
Other killers on the page so far include the Son of Sam, Dean ‘Candyman’ Corll, ‘Night Stalker’ Richard Ramirez, British doctor Harold Shipman (who killed 215 of his patients), and the Cleveland Strangler Anthony Sowell.
Redhead Eric Smith — who was just 13 when he murdered four-year-old Derrick Robie in the early ’90s — was paired with a Red Tibetan Mastiff.
James Holmes, the Aurora shooter, was put side-by-side with a toy poodle, while Aileen Wuornos — whom the movie Monster was based on — found her twin in a chihuahua.
Gross: Lawrence Singleton is known for raping and mutilating Mary Vincent and was suspected of committing murder

Flashback: More than 160 patients of Dr. John Bodkin Adams died under suspicious circumstances, and many had written him into their wills

Disgusting: Albert Fish was also known as the Gray Man, the Werewolf of Wysteria, and the Brooklyn Vampire. He was executed after confessing to child rape, murder, and cannibalism
‘Scorecard Killer’ Randy Steven Kraft, Lawrence Singleton, Carl Panzram, and George Hennard have also popped up on the page, as have ‘The Chessboard Killer’ Alexander Pichushkin, Westley Allan Dodd, Martin Bryant, ‘Butcher of Plainfield’ Edward Theodore Gein, and Gary Ridgway.
Kennedy killers Lee Harvey Oswald and Sirhan Sirhan make appearances, as do Moses Sithole, Eddie Lee Mosley, ‘Vampire of Sacramento’ Richard Chase, Albert Fish, Arthur Shawcross, and ‘Tourniquet Killer’ Anthony Shore.
Dr. John Bodkin Adams — who was suspected of killing more than 160 patients — is paired with a pit bull, and the four teenage killers of 12-year-old Shanda Renee Sharer got their own post, too.
