Facebook and Instagram crashed across Australia on Friday morning – leaving millions of social media users frustrated as they tried to catch up with their feeds.
Posts were not loading on Instagram and there was an ‘error’ on Facebook from about 7.30am AEST.

‘We’re working on getting this fixed as soon as we can.’
Another Facebook notification alerting users to the error said: ‘This Page Isn’t Available Right Now.’
‘This may be because of a technical error that we’re working to get fixed. Try reloading this page.’
The problem was short-lived, with both social media platforms back up and running by about 7.45am.
‘I wasn’t able to use my Facebook and Messenger for like 20 min. I thought something was wrong with my internet,’ one person wrote on Twitter.
