Meta’s Instagram is down for a second consecutive day, just over 24 hours after millions were locked out of accounts across the company’s social platforms.
DownDetector, a site that monitors online disturbances, reported thousands of complaints with the app across the US.
What has sparked the problem is not yet known, but comes 16 days since the social media platforms were knocked offline due to an internal issue.
The problems began being reported just before 7pm ET, with users posting images of their accounts being inaccessible and ‘logged out.’
DailyMail.com has reached out to a spokesperson for Instagram for comment.
