Inter Milan ran out convincing winners at home to Jose Mourinho’s Roma as they went top above city rivals AC Milan. 

Coming into this knowing any slip ups would be costly in their hunt to retain their Scudetto crown, Inter came flying out of the blocks and went in at the break with an deserved two goal lead.

Goals from Denzel Dumfries and Marcelo Brozovic confirmed Inter’s dominance and ensured any title-induced nerves at the San Siro were swiftly cast aside.

Lautaro Martinez, having scored away at Spezia last week in a 3-1 win, once again found the net and it was his goal that really made sure the three points would be remaining in Milan.

A late Henrikh Mkhitaryan strike that reduced the deficit to 3-1 was not enough to cause the any late trouble to the destination of the points. 

Although, his goal did seem to unsettle Inter for the final five or so minutes and Mourinho will be scratching his head as to why his side did not grab the initiative in the game until it was far too late.
