Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson poured pints of beer to his fans and joked he might have to become a full-time barman ‘to make ends meet’ as he faces a bitter divorce battle.

The rocker, 61, who has amassed a £100million fortune, announced last year he had split from his second wife of 29 years and mother to his three children, Paddy.

He faces paying her a huge sum after finding love with a fitness instructor in Paris.

And he is said to have had drinkers in stitches after treating them to his own specially brewed ale, named Trooper after a 1983 Iron Maiden song.

Dickinson went behind the bar to pull pints at Robinsons Brewery in Stockport, Cheshire.

Fan John Temple, 52, told The Daily Star: ‘One of the lads asked what his next plans were, expecting the answer to have something to do with an album or touring.

‘But he said he was considering becoming a barman because he needed a regular income to make ends meet.’

The punter revealed that Dickinson then asked the drinkers to continue supping pints of Trooper because he needed every penny he could get.

Temple said: ‘He’s a top bloke and one thing we all agreed on is that if ever times do get really tough, he’s definitely not a bad barman.’

The rocker is now living in Paris with ‘fitness teacher, journalist and fashion blogger’ Leana Dolci, thought to be in her 40s.

After news of their relationship broke, a friend of Leana’s was reported as saying: ‘Leana has always been a huge Iron Maiden fan, following them around for nearly 10 years.’

In 2015, Bruce’s singing career was almost cut short as he battled stage 3 throat cancer after being told he had two tumours on his tongue.

Paddy nursed him back to health in their home in Chiswick, West London, while he had nine weeks of chemotherapy and 33 sessions of radiation.

He was also supported by their children Austin, 29, Griffin, 27, and daughter Kia, 28 – and after six months Bruce got the all-clear.

Although no immediate plans have been announced, the singer has carved out a successful career in both music and business, which could result in Paddy receiving a significant share of his £100 million fortune.

Iron Maiden were formed in Leyton, east London, in 1975 and have sold 80 million albums and won multiple awards, making them one of the most successful heavy metal bands of all time.

At the same time, Bruce has carved out a career as a professional pilot with stints flying for BA, Easyjet and BMI. He now flies Iron Maiden on tour on the band’s Boeing 757, Ed Force One.
