Is Charlotte Chimes set to return to Neighbours?

Charlotte Chimes gained a cult following for her incredible portrayal of Nicolette Stone on Neighbours. 

The actress, 29, recently posted a gallery to Instagram, which fans are convinced contained a clue she will return to Ramsay Street.

Chimes looks every inch the stunner in the pictures which captured the brunette beauty attending a local horse race in Melbourne over the weekend.

But it’s what she wrote next to the snaps – the word ‘neigh’ – that got fans worked up.

‘Neigh? …bours?? Official confirmation!! You heard it here first,’ one fan joked.

‘I miss you on Neighbours. Nicolette is my favourite character,’ another user added.

Charlotte, however, remained tight-lipped about whether she would return to the show that made her a star, simply ‘liking’ the posts begging her to come back.

The brunette beauty recently reflected on what she loved about playing the villainous Nicolette from 2020 to 2022.

‘Any time she became too nice or sweet I thought this is not as fun. What else can she do that is not good?’ she told Triple M’s Lee Faulkner.

‘Everything from stealing money, running away pregnant, selling a baby for a million dollars, she did it.’

Back in December, Charlotte revealed on the Wildfemmes podcast how she managed to land the iconic role without ever meeting the casting agents.

Speaking with host Emma Maggs, she explained she’d spent a lot of time sending out dozens of self-taped auditions before she landed a spot on the soap.

‘At the time you got cast on Neighbours, you and I were actually working together as producers and I just remember you were doing oodles and oodles of auditions,’ Maggs said.

‘It was in the middle of a pandemic as well. You were doing that many self tapes, and the fact that you got cast in the middle of a pandemic without them even meeting you is truly remarkable.’

Neighbours was brought back from cancellation in November when Amazon saved the beloved soap four months after the final episode aired.
