Is Microsoft Outlook down? Bizarre glitch leaves frustrated users unable to send or receive emails

  • Users report that they’ve been unable to send or receive emails for 24 hours
  • Microsoft says it’s ‘aware of the issue’ but did not elaborate on the cause

It’s one of the most popular email systems around the world.

But it appears that Microsoft Outlook is experiencing issues this week, with reports of users unable to either send or receive emails.

Several frustrated users have taken to X (formerly Twitter) to discuss the issue, with one writing: ‘I’ve not received any Outlook emails for over 24 hours now… is there an outage?’

In response to one user, Microsoft confirmed that it is ‘aware of the issue’, although it did not elaborate on the cause.

‘Our team is aware of this issue and actively working to restore normal service. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to get this resolved,’ it said.
