Is the 2024 Brownlow Medal the worst WAG red carpet ever? Fans criticise the glamorous wives and girlfriends of AFL’s top players as they reveal their awkwardly tight corsets and barely-there gowns – and even Bec Judd’s outfit disappoints

Busty displays, revealing slits and drop waistlines were in large supply among the wives and girlfriends of the AFL’s biggest stars as they descended upon the red carpet for the 2024 Brownlow Medal in Melbourne.

But many of the glamorous partygoers failed to flatter spectators at the annual black tie event.

Style icon Bec Judd found herself on the worst dressed list after a six-year hiatus from the AFL’s night of nights, with brunette beauties Brodie Ryan and Charlotte Viney joining her.

The women were in good company, with many critics claiming it was the worst red carpet in the prestigious event’s history.

Rebecca Judd

Onlookers waited in anticipation to see style icon Rebecca Judd’s outfit of choice, but the mum-of-four shocked fans for all the wrong reasons as she arrived in a blush pink J’Aton Couture corset gown.

The frock was sleeveless and clung to her figure down to the hips before flaring out into a satin fishtail.

The J’Aton Couture gown reached floor length and had lacing throughout the long bodice. But Bec opted for a glamorous makeup look with a rosy blush and dark pink lipstick while wearing her caramel locks down.

Charlotte Viney

Jack Viney’s wife Charlotte Viney favoured a daring black Antoinette Fusillo dress that highlighted her phenomenal figure and left little to the imagination, but didn’t quite suit the dress code.

It clung close to her figure and included a flowing sash and a one-shoulder design with a semi-sheer fabric throughout.

Brodie Ryan

Brodie Ryan, the partner of AFL legend Nathan Buckley, also missed the mark at this year’s red carpet donning a busty baby pink corset dress with pearls and a statement bird bag.

The ensemble featured a figure-hugging corseted bodice that accentuated her enviable curves. It included a dramatic sweetheart neckline that highlighted her décolletage.

The satin blush pink gown flared into a voluminous skirt, adding a touch of glamour and elegance to the bold look.

CORSETS

Super tight corset dresses were out in full force tonight in an array of colours, styles and fabrics.

Alex Pendlebury opted for a nude corset dress with bone detailing and thigh-high split yet put herself at risk of a wardrobe malfunction.

Emily Halverson arrived in a black and white look that failed to flatter her small figure.

Dayne Zorko’s wife Talia Zorko chose a quirky corset dress with a silver drop waistline that didn’t do her any favours.

MIDRIFF FLOP

Elise Gosdschan showed off her rock hard abs and tanned skin in a two-piece outfit, which failed to meet expectations.

V-NECKS

Plunging necklines were spotted among many outfits ahead of the event in Melbourne.

Isabella Cavallaro and Georgia Greene seemed to take a fashion step in the wrong direction.

Isabella put on a busty display by opting for a low cut V-neck silver dress while Georgia looked close to having a wardrobe malfunction in her deep-cut dress.

ANYTHING GOES

Tiffany Browne struck a pose on the red carpet but her black and silver frock didn’t do much to help her stand out from the crowd.

Hayley, the wife of Toby Nankervis of the Richmond Tigers, was a lady in red yet the fabric and style of choice didn’t quite make the mark.

Dee Salmin opted for a revealing outfit that hung off her tiny frame, while Georgia Kelly, who’s the partner of Nick Vlastuin of Richmond Tigers, chose a black and white frock that sat nicely on her figure, yet lost points for the pink puffy sleeves.

Australian meteorologist and weather presenter Jane Bunn was among the first to arrive in a navy ruffle dress from Forever New – which is on sale at Myer for $129.99.
