Isla Fisher reminisces on iconic TV series in ’90s throwback post: ‘Some of my most incredible acting’

Isla Fisher has posted a throwback clip from her early acting days.

In the video, a young Isla could be seen portraying Robyn Devereaux in the 1993 soap series Paradise Beach, which only ran for one season and was described as the ‘ultimate teenage fantasy’ set on the Gold Coast. 

‘Some of my most incredible acting captured,’ she wrote on the clip, accompanied with the caption: ‘#paradisebeach one of the rare times that I wasn’t in a bikini.’

The video showed the auburn-haired up-and-comer storming into a convenience store and asking for ‘change for fifty dollars’ before throwing shade at local business tyrant Tom Barsby, played by Robert Coleby in the series. 

The light-hearted throwback comes after reports that Isla and her former partner Sacha Baron Cohen are ‘at war’ as their messy divorce rumbles on.

The Aussie star split with the Borat creator, 53, at the end of 2023 after 13 years of marriage.

And as amicable as their separation statement was as they posed in tennis kit, a new report now suggests things have got tricky.

The Sun claims initial attempts at an amicable parting of ways have ‘turned sour’ as the fate of their joint £120million fortune is yet to be decided.

A source told the publication: ‘They put on a show of making it seem civilised at first, but that’s all gone now.

‘Nobody is pretending any more. It’s war.’

The insider went on to claim that Isla is now feeling more confident after her return to acting, ‘but Sacha is not happy about it at all — she’s come out fighting and it’s come as a bit of a shock.’

Representatives for Isla and Sacha have been contacted by MailOnline for comment.

Isla previously opened up about her divorce from Sacha and how the end of their marriage changed her life.

Speaking to Stellar, Isla revealed that now she is single again and her children are growing up she is planning to re-focus her efforts on her work.

‘I think because of the challenges I’ve gone through in the last two years, I don’t see that it will change much,’ Isla admitted.

She added her career had previously been put on the ‘backburner’ while she raised her children with Sacha.
