Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino says English clubs’ European clean sweep proves the Premier League is best in the world.
Spurs will take on Liverpool in the Champions League final on June 1 while Arsenal face Chelsea in the Europa League showpiece on May 29.
And Pochettino believes the fact English clubs have taken all four places in the finals of UEFA’s two club competition underlines the Premier League’s position as the leading division on the planet.

‘It’s very good news for us to have four clubs fighting for the Champions League and the Europa League,’ said the Spurs boss.
‘It shows how competitive the Premier League is. When we talk about the best league in the world and the most competitive it is very clear now and everyone share the same feeling as us.
‘It is very good news for English football. Now it is a challenge to keep the same level of performance in the future as this season.’
Meanwhile, Jan Vertonghen will miss Sunday’s season finale against Everton with the ankle injury he sustained against Ajax on Wednesday.
But Pochettino is hopeful the fact the Belgian finished the game means the injury is ‘not a big problem’.
