It’s A Celebrity: Amir Khan asks if a woman can be PM

Amir Khan has sparked outrage after asking if a woman can be prime minister – despite Theresa May currently being in power.

The boxing star left fans reeling when he asked the ‘idiotic’ question on I’m A Celebrity on Sunday after learning that Georgia Toffolo had been appointed the jungle’s deputy prime minister.

Viewers also accused the 30-year-old of ‘casual sexism’ after he called Georgia a ‘small little girl’ while assessing her Kung Fu technique.

Viewers flocked to social media to criticise his ‘idiotic’ question’ and asked him ‘what planet’ he lives on.

‘Omg what an idiot Amir Khan is. He doesn’t know we have had women prime minsters, including the current one. Words fail me,’ one wrote.
