And on Wednesday, the couple shared the first photos of the precious new addition to the family.

Taking to Instagram, Mitch and Greta posted two photos of their daughter with one showing the bub, laying comfortably in a one-piece jumpsuit, being gently held by mum and dad.

The post was met with a flurry of congratulatory comments from followers, including from Jessica Head, the wife of Aussie batsman Travis Head.

‘Congrats mum and dad, she’s beautiful,’ the cricket WAG wrote.

Jessica and Travis also welcomed their second child, a baby boy named Harrison, earlier this month.

Becky Cummins, the wife of Australian Test and International ODI captain Pat Cummins also chimed in with her well wishes.

‘There she is! Such a beautiful little angel,’ Becky wrote. ‘Congratulations to you both.’

Australian Test wicketkeeper Alex Carey also offered a succinct ‘Congratulations guys.’

Cricketing great Matthew Hayden also offered his best wishes with: Congrats mate. Can it get any better then a beautiful baby girl xX.’

Mitch, who has been married since 2023, thanked his wife for her unwavering support after winning the Allan Border Medal in February.

‘I often spoke to my wife about…,’ Marsh said before pausing as he choked up on stage at the Crown Palladium in Melbourne.

‘I just wanted to get one more crack at it, and its [Test recall] been amazing.

‘Grets is an amazing human, I said in my wedding vows eight months ago she gave me the perspective in life I needed… and our life is a lot of fun.

‘If I get a duck, or get a hundred, she’s always the same.’

Mitch comes from somewhat of a family sporting dynasty with his father being Australian cricket legend Rod Marsh, while elder brother Shaun also represented Australia in all three cricket formats.

His sister Melissa is a former professional basketball player and he is a cousin to former AFL West Coast Eagles star Brad Sheppard.

Mitch is currently the Australian T20I captain and the One Day International vice-captain.

He also served as the Australian Test vice-captain after the 2018 Australian ball-tapering scandal.

Back in September, Mitch and Travis Head clubbed a world record T20 international powerplay score with a brutal display against Scotland.

Travis made 80 in 25 balls and Mitch 39 in 12 as the pair racked up 113 in the six over powerplay, surpassing the 102 made by South Africa against the West Indies last year.
