It’s been 10 years since Claudia joined Tess as co-host of Strictly Come Dancing… but can YOU spot the difference between now and then?

It has been ten years since Claudia Winkleman joined Tess Daly as co-host of Strictly Come Dancing.

But as the pair posed for photos to promote tomorrow night’s launch of the 20th series, it seemed that hardly a day had passed.

A decade on Ms Winkleman, 52, still has her signature fringe and dark eyeliner, while Ms Daly, 55, still has her glossy hair and smooth complexion.

The pair have been part of the Strictly team since its launch in 2004, with Ms Daly presenting the main show with Sir Bruce Forsyth and Ms Winkleman hosting the BBC2 spin-off It Takes Two.

After impressing BBC bosses, Ms Winkleman was promoted to hosting the Sunday results show alongside Ms Daly before becoming the main co-host in 2014 following the departure of Sir Bruce when he reduced his workload.

Ms Daly said: ‘I have to pinch myself when I realise it’s been 20 years since starting work on this brilliant TV show I was lucky enough to be chosen to be a part of. None of us knew at the time if it would work, and none of us could’ve foreseen its stratospheric success.’

There had been doubts about whether the show would return this year after it faced a number of complaints about mistreatment on the show, which led to the departures of professionals Giovanni Pernice and Graziano Di Prima.

The new series starts on BBC1 at 7.20pm with celebrity contestants including Nick Knowles, Paul Merson and Toyah Willcox. Professional dancer Amy Dowden, 34, will be back after missing last year’s series while she was being treated for breast cancer.
