‘It’s just like a crazy dream’ Mother wins Lotto jackpot after playing the same numbers for 10 years

A mother who won the Lotto jackpot after playing the same numbers for ten years thought it was all part of a ‘crazy dream’.

The woman from Western Sydney discovered she was a millionaire after drawing the winning numbers on Wednesday night’s draw.

After seeing the winning numbers she went to bed and thought she had imagined the entire experience.

‘I nodded off to sleep for a little while and woke up in the middle of the night and was convinced it was all a crazy dream,’ the woman said.  

The mother was the only winner in the country for the Lotto’s national draw on Wednesday March 18.

The mother is now one million dollars richer and said it’s been hard to return to her normal life after the news.  

‘I didn’t sleep again after that and now I am at work! It’s so hard to concentrate!’ she said.

‘It certainly hasn’t sunk in yet.

‘And now it has! It’s unbelievable.’

The Sydney mother is planning to use the money to get rid of her housing debt.

‘I never imagined being mortgage-free at 40, so it’s going to be pretty amazing!’ she said. 

‘It’s a huge relief. I am still in shock. It’s certainly going to be life changing.’

‘I will have to celebrate tonight! I have no idea how I’m going to get through the rest of the day at work!’

The woman struck gold after buying the ticket online using the same numbers for the past ten years.

‘It was a marked entry, I’ve been using the same numbers for a long time and I just had a very strange feeling that it was going to happen soon, that I’d win big!’ she said.
