Ivanka Trump shows off her drilling skills ahead of tenth anniversary

Ivanka Trump stood out in a bold polka-dot blazer as she toured an aviation training center in Wichita, Kansas, on Thursday, the day before her 10-year wedding anniversary.

The 37-year-old first daughter was joined by Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Senator Jerry Moran when she met with students and teachers at WSU-Tech’s National Center for Aviation Training.

Ivanka donned an eye-catching tan blazer with black polka dots, which she wore over a classic black turtleneck and wide-leg dress pants.

The jacket appeared to be a custom design from Oscar de la Renta, as the luxury label previously sold a twill dress in the same color and pattern.

A similar Oscar de la Renta blazer retails for $2,700, though a bespoke design would likely cost a great deal more.

Ivanka let her standout jacket do the talking by wearing minimal accessories. Her straight blonde bob was parted to the side, and she sported smokey eye makeup paired with a dusty rose lipstick.

The White House senior adviser appeared to be in great spirits during Thursday’s tour, and she even got some hands-on experience.

Ivanka and Pompeo later took part in a roundtable discussion with Dr. Sheree Utash, the president of WSU Tech and vice president of workforce development at Wichita State University.

During the conversation, students at WSU Tech spoke about their experiences and how they’ve found success without going to a four-year school.

‘It is all incredibly inspiring because you all are the faces of the work that we are all trying to do and of the future of this country,’ Ivanka said, according to local news station KSN.

Following the roundtable, a group of Wichita-based aviation companies signed the Pledge to America’s Workers, the Trump administration’s initiative designed to get private companies to expand job training.

While in Wichita on Thursday, Ivanka took to Instagram to preemptively celebrate her 10-year wedding anniversary with her husband Jared Kushner.

The couple wed at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey, on October 25, 2009, and she couldn’t resist sharing some throwback photos from their big day.

‘Looking forward to celebrating 10 amazing years of marriage to my love tomorrow!’ she captioned a stunning black and white portrait of herself with her bridal veil pulled over her head.

On her Instagram Story, she posted an image of herself posing in her wedding dress as she stands in a doorway at the golf club.

Ivanka announced her arrival in Wichita on her Instagram Story on Wednesday evening by sharing a photo of herself posing on the airport tarmac with Pompeo and Moran.

In the snapshot, she is smiling from ear to ear while donning a preppy black and gray argyle sweater, black cropped pants, and black ankle-strap heels.

The first daughter also tweeted the image, writing: ‘Landed in Wichita w/ @SecPompeo and @JerryMoran! Brilliant innovators such as Walter Beech & Clyde Cessna established this city as the hub for aircraft making during the early half of the 20th Century. 100 yrs later, Wichita remains a leader worldwide in aviation manufacturing!’

Ivanka stayed home on Monday and Tuesday while celebrating the Jewish holiday Shemini Atzeret with her family.

She was dressed to the nines in a bright red Carolina Herrera coat and a black pillbox hat when she and her children headed to their local synagogue on Tuesday.

The first daughter, who was joined by her husband Jared the day before, walked by herself as her kids — Arabella, eight, Joseph, six, and Theodore, three — rode their scooters on the sidewalk.

Jared, 38, headed to work in a Secret Service SUV earlier that morning, leaving Ivanka to take their children to the Friends of Lubavitch Synagogue, which is located in their ritzy Kalorama neighborhood in Washington D.C.

Shemini Atzeret immediately follows the seventh day of the Jewish festival of Sukkot. It is a separate, yet connected, holy day devoted to the spiritual aspects of Sukkot.

Ivanka converted to Judaism in 2009 to marry Jared, an Orthodox Jew, and they are raising their three children Orthodox as well.

The family’s stroll to the synagogue has become something of an annual tradition since they moved from New York to D.C. at the start of 2017 when Ivanka and Jared took on official roles in the Trump administration.
