Ivanka Trump steps out amid tax victory

Ivanka Trump appeared over the moon this morning as she departed her Washington, D.C. house in the aftermath of her father’s administration’s success in passing a $1.5 trillion tax cut bill.

Much like the rest of President Trump’s advisers, his daughter was in a celebratory mood as she stepped out around 8 am in a navy blue Carolina Herrera coat and nude pumps.

The first daughter, 36, smiled and waved at the camera as she walked, bare-legged despite the cool D.C. temperatures, to the parked Secret Service vehicle waiting for her.

Later this morning, Ivanka appeared on Fox & Friends for the second time this week, this time to revel in her father’s administration’s victory as she tuned in from the White House.

The first daughter is now being credited with playing a significant role in passing the reform. She lobbied for months in its favor, traveling around the country and taking several trips to the Hill in order to promote the tax plan.

Ivanka’s main goal was to get the child tax credit increased, and the newly passed plan takes it from $1,000 to $2,000, with a refundable part of $1,4000 for those who qualify.

Ivanka presented her father’s administration’s victory as the result of a team effort, and singled out Senator Bob Corker, who has been accused of changing his ‘no’ to a ‘yes’ due to a measure that is likely to benefit him personally—a provision in favor of people with real estate income.

‘I spent a lot of time on behalf of the administration and with members of the administration, Gary Cohn, Secretary Mnuchin, our whole team at the [Office of Legislative Affairs] on the Hill and talking to different senators,’ Ivanka said during the interview.

‘I spent a lot of time with Senator Corker as well and he had real integrity around this process.’

Yesterday, Ivanka donned one of her most beloved prints as she headed out to work in a plaid coat.

The senior White House advise was seen heading out of her house in Washington, D.C. around 7:45 in the morning, getting an early start to her work day.

She paired her gray coat, which had large, white buttons and plaid shoulder flaps, with black pants tucked into leather boots.

The boots, with a thick high heel, featured laces going up the bottom half of the shoes.

With her plaid coat, the former model returned to a pattern she has often favored, and has worn on tops, dresses and skirts over the past few months.

Ivanka was ready to face the cool D.C. temperatures and buttoned her coat all the way up in addition to carrying a pair of black gloves in her left hand.

She kept her eyes trained in front of her for most of the short walk between her house in the upscale neighborhood of Kalorama to the parked Secret Service vehicle waiting for her at the end of her driveway.

Ivanka and her husband and fellow White House adviser, Jared Kushner, 36, both attended a Cabinet meeting at the White House later in the morning. They sat next to each other and could be seen bowing their heads along with the rest of the attendees during a prayer.

Later during the day, Ivanka was also seen in the same coat greeting guests during an event to celebrate Congress passing the tax bill.

The mother of three is currently back in D.C. after traveling to her hometown of New York City on Monday for her first Fox & Friends interview of the week.

She  was pictured leaving Fox & Friends in her former stomping grounds, smiling at the few passersby who had gathered to witness her exit.

The senior White House adviser wore a form-fitting blue dress and kept her hair down in a slick blow-dry during the interview, which focused on the GOP’s proposed tax plan.

By the time she left Fox’s studios in New York City’s Midtown, Ivanka appeared to have completely changed her clothes, and cut an all-black silhouette, save for a few details.

She donned a pair of quirky black shoes with kitten heels and straps made out of rows of white pearls, and had a white Peter Pan collar peeking out at the top of her outfit.

Ivanka wore her hair in a low ponytail tied with a long, flowy black ribbon.

She waved as she exited the studios and walked towards her parked car, and acknowledged the handful of children and adults who were taking her photo nearby.

The first daughter appeared to be in a sunny disposition, perhaps excited to be back in New York City, which she left for D.C. after her father became president and she and Jared both took on senior roles in his administration.
