Ivanka Trump walks past a huge pile of packages as she leaves her D.C. home

Ivanka Trump was dressed to impress when she stepped out of her Washington, D.C. home on Tuesday morning wearing a $2,300 checked coat dress by Suzannah.

The first daughter left a pile of stacked packages in her wake as she walked out her front gate around 8:30 a.m. carrying her beloved black Chanel tote bag, which held a large white binder.

Ivanka, 38, failed to raise a smile as she strutted to the Secret Service SUV waiting for her at the curb, right around the time Democratic leaders announced they will bring two articles of impeachment against her father, President Donald Trump.

The White House senior adviser looked ladylike in her black and white woven frock that was inspired by a vintage hunting coat, according to the London brand’s website.

The long-sleeve coat dress features a flattering circular skirt that falls right below the knees and black velvet buttons that run down the front.

She topped off her look with a pair of black stilettos and the Chanel handbag that she was ridiculed for bringing to a Louis Vuitton factory opening in Texas in October.

Ivanka wore her sleek blonde bob tucked behind her ears, revealing her white pearl drop earrings that accessorized her outfit.

She also had on a red string bracelet on her left wrist that peeked out from underneath the sleeve of her dress.

Though she hasn’t spoken about the purpose of the bracelet, it does bear a resemblance to the type of red string that Kabbalah practitioners wear to ward off the ‘evil eye.’

Ivanka, who converted to Judaism to marry her husband, Jared Kushner, in 2009, has been wearing the string off and on for a few years now.

The couple has three children — Arabella, Joseph, and Theodore — and it’s possible the packages that were sitting inside the gated entrance to her home are holiday presents for her little ones.

The first daughter, who tends to smile and wave at the cameras outside her door, had a grim expression on her face when she headed to work on Tuesday.

It’s unclear when she found out about the House Democrats’ two impeachment charges against her father, but she knew they were coming.

It was reported the day before that Democratic leaders would be laying out at least two articles of impeachment against her father.

President Trump lashed out on Twitter a little over an hour before the announcement on Tuesday, claiming it’s ‘sheer Political Madness’ to impeach a president ‘who has done NOTHING wrong.’

Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her Democrats charged Trump with high crimes and misdemeanors on Tuesday, setting up a vote to impeach the president by the end of the year.

‘Today, in service to our duty to the constitution and to our country, the House Committee on the Judiciary is introducing two articles of impeachment charging the president of the United States, Donald J. Trump, with committing high crimes and misdemeanors,’ said House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler.

The two charges are abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. Nadler released the nine-page text of the formal articles outlining the charges.

‘President Trump abused the powers of the presidency by ignoring and injuring national security and other vital national interests to obtain an improper personal political benefit. He has also betrayed the nation by abusing his high office to enlist a foreign power in corrupting Democratic elections,’ reads the first charge.

‘In the history of the Republic, no president has ever ordered the complete defiance of an impeachment inquiry or sought to obstruct and impede so comprehensively the ability of the House of Representatives to investigate “high crimes and misdemeanors,”‘ reads the second.

It’s been quite the week for Ivanka, as a new report revealed she and Christopher Steele had a longstanding friendship that started a decade before the former British spy authored the infamous dossier detailing connections between her father and Russia.

Revelations of their relationship came to light as investigators with the Justice Department’s Inspector General’s office were looking into allegations of potential political bias at the genesis of the Russia investigation.

The inspector general’s report, which was released Monday, references Ivanka and Steele’s meetings and correspondence over the years. The name Steele refers to in the report is redacted, but a source confirmed that the Trump family member he referred to is Ivanka.

Steele cited his past cordial relationship with Ivanka as evidence showing he is not biased against the Trump family, as thought by Republicans after the release of his dossier.
