Jackie ‘O’ Henderson sent fans into a frenzy on Thursday night after making an innocent remark about her friendship with Pip Edwards.
The radio host, 49, was forced to explain herself on Friday morning’s Kyle & Jackie O Show after leaving a suggestive remark about the P.E Nation co-founder, 44, on Instagram.
‘There were some rumours last night after the Pip Edwards situation, that you and her are now lesbians,’ executive producer Pedro Vitola said.
‘You were up at midnight commenting on stuff saying, “Love you, Pip. I’ll always water your rose.”‘
‘What the hell does that mean?!’ co-host Kyle Sandilands interjected.

The blonde mother-of-one tried to explain the non-sexual metaphor: ‘Don’t water the weeds, water the roses. You know?
‘It means don’t give your attention to something that’s not serving you. Water the roses instead, not the weeds.’
On Thursday, Jackie invited Pip on the radio show to discuss their newfound friendship.
‘I’m living life and Pip knows how to live life, let me tell you,’ Jackie said in the clip that was posted to the show’s Instagram page. ‘Pip’s come into my life at at a really good time.’
In the comments, Pip gushed: ‘Love you so so much @jackieo_official yes to living life !!!’

But it was Jackie’s reply that sent tongues wagging, sparking rumours that the singletons were an item.
‘Love you P – I’ll always water your rose,’ she said, adding a rose and winking emoji.
Elsewhere on the show with Pip, the activewear maven told Kyle, 52, about the secret to their strong connection.
‘There’s something to say about finding a friendship later in life. You know what you are looking for and what you stand for,’ Pip began.

A horrified Jackie then said that Pip made it sound like ‘we are coming out’ and Kyle joked they were ‘like a lesbian couple’.
Pip added they had such a great platonic friendship and one of the things she most admired about Jackie was how kind she was to everyone they came across.
Kyle asked if Jackie had the same sweet personality off the air that she did when presenting alongside him.
‘When I see her being inundated with fans, she is so lovely and gives everyone her time. She really does give it back and it is really beautiful to watch,’ Pip confirmed.
Jackie and Pip have been getting close since September last year, when the radio host announced the socialite would join her on a Fiji trip.
The tropical holiday was organised by Besties, the business venture Jackie runs with her best friend Gemma O’Neill.
Just a few months later, Jackie and her new pal Pip were seen enjoying a business lunch together with Gemma.
