Jackie ‘O’ Henderson reveals the place you should NEVER kiss your friend goodbye following awkward encounter with male pal

It’s commonplace for friends to kiss each other on the cheek while saying goodbye.

But Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, 48, has admitted she felt extremely uncomfortable after a male pal attempted to perform this ritual while they were sitting in his car.

Describing the incident to her KIIS FM co-host Kyle Sandilands, 52, on Thursday’s radio show, Jackie explained that a mystery male friend had recently given her a lift home.

Jackie felt awkward when he leaned in for a peck on the cheek as kisses in cars are usually romantic.

‘Maybe it’s because we’ve grown up with movies of everyone who kisses in the car. It’s always about making a [romantic] move in the car,’ the mother-of-one explained.

‘I didn’t feel like he was coming on to me. I felt like he just thought it was fine. But in my mind, I never lean in for a kiss in a car.’

Jackie said she would never lean over and give someone a friendly kiss after driving them home, insisting: ‘A kiss in the car is purely for making out.’

Kyle agreed, saying that his mind would go to the gutter immediately if he was in Jackie’s situation.

‘As soon as you’re on my side of the gear stick, all bets are off. It’s like, ‘She’s in my space. I’m going to have to have sex with her now.’ That’s what you think,’ he explained.

Kyle later quizzed Jackie on the identity of her male friend, asking whether it was someone from work.

‘I understand why you thought, ‘Oh, this feels weird.’ Who was this guy? he pressed.

‘It doesn’t matter, Jackie replied, adding: ‘I don’t want to say it on-air because it sounds creepy.’
