Jackie O Henderson has revealed that, when it comes to parenting, she knows how to be a ‘cool’ mum.

The radio queen, 50, took to Instagram on Saturday to share a photo of her 14-year-old daughter Kitty that showed off the teenager’s secret piercing.

Posing in the lounge room, Kitty looked as though she was preparing to head out to an event.

Possibly taking some cues from her fashion-forward mother, the teenager cut a very glamorous figure in a lilac one-shoulder maxi dress.

The garment also exposed a hint of midriff as well as a subtly, silver navel piercing that added extra sparkle to the ensemble.

The chic dress fell almost  to the floor completely obscuring Kitty’s choice of footwear.

Looking very much like her famous mum, Kitty wore her blonde locks down for the occasion.

Captioning the post, Jacqui hinted that the image of Kitty was bittersweet.

‘My little girl, no so little anymore,’ Jacqui wrote.

It comes after Jackie shared a very cringeworthy parenting moment many mums and dads can relate to.

The radio queen was attending her daughter Kitty’s school concert in March when she fell asleep attracting unwanted attention from audience members.

And to make matters worse Jackie managed to mistake her 14-year-old daughter’s on-stage appearance for another student.

Jackie explained on air that she was battling fatigue ahead of arriving for her daughter’s show at the Opera House after she flown into Sydney from Europe at 6am.

The radio queen, who shares Kitty with her ex-husband Lee Henderson, attended the show solo and it was not long before jet lag got the best of her.

‘I had to go to Kitty’s school concert last night,’ she began.

‘Lee wasn’t going and somebody had to be there and honestly, the whole day, I’m like, ”How can I get out of this?” I was like, ”Can I bribe her? Can I say, Do you want to chuck a sickie?” ‘she laughed.

‘We had to sit through the orchestral stuff first, I reckon in 10 minutes, I was asleep.

‘You know when you’re on the nod and your head is jolting up and it’s obvious to everyone around you.’

She added: ‘Everyone, it seems, at Kitty’s school is still married. I feel like the only parent that isn’t!’

Co-host Kyle Sandilands then had a crack at Jackie’s expense in reference to her recent memoir in which she confessed to abusing drugs and alcohol for a short time -which led to her rehab.

‘”Check her out [they would be saying], she’s probably drunk, back on the pills have a look at her, she’s wasted”‘ they’d be saying,’ Kyle joked.

You’d be better off staying at home.’

Later in the segment Jackie said attempted to film her daughter’s appearance on stage – only for it to end in disaster.

‘I thought, ”Oh, there she is!” I spotted her, I zoomed in and was like, ”that’s Kitty, I got her” I filmed the wrong girl. I need glasses, right? My eyesight is so bad,’ she said.

In the end Jackie explained her parenting moment turned out to be all for nothing.

‘I get a text from Kitty 25 minutes after she’s performed and she says, ”Mum, I felt sick, I didn’t go up on stage to perform”.

‘I thought, ”Oh, great”, but that’s all good, poor thing.’
