Jackie ‘O’ Henderson’s bizarre day on a plate after dropping 12kg in three months – including skipping breakfast and her unusual ritual with meat

Jackie ‘O’ Henderson has shared a glimpse of her unusual diet after shedding a whopping 12kg in three months.

The radio host, 48, revealed on The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Thursday she regularly skips breakfast, a practice known as intermittent fasting.

She also avoids carbohydrates, and satiates her hunger throughout the day by snacking on pre-cut pieces of steak.

‘I cook steak and slice it, and then I’ll just have a little sliver of steak if I’m hungry,’ she told her co-host Kyle Sandilands.

Jackie, who is an ambassador for weight loss program WW, resists splurging on high-calorie foods for lunch, opting to eat just ‘three little slivers of steak’ and a few Vietnamese rice paper rolls containing fish and cabbage.

Kyle was shocked by her small portion size, telling her: ‘A dog would eat more!’

For dinner, Jackie usually eats vegetables and a protein such as chicken or red meat.

In between meals, Jackie treats herself to smoothies and Starbucks Frappuccinos, a type of blended ice coffee drink.

The mother of one hasn’t always followed such a restrictive diet.

In February, she told Woman’s Day she used to binge on pizza, sausage rolls and microwave meals from the petrol station before she took control of her health.

‘I was eating a lot of food that I could get in a hurry. You know, pizza and sandwiches and just takeaway, I wasn’t cooking myself,’ she said.

‘And I think it’s always best when you know what you’re putting into your body. I just got really lazy.’

Jackie took several weeks off her radio show in November to focus on her health and recover from the lingering effects of Covid-19.

During her break, she took up tennis and aqua aerobics. In addition, her daily routine includes half-hour sessions on the treadmill at the gym.

She also signed up to the WW program for a second time, after putting on the weight she’d lost when she first followed the program.

‘They are probably think, “F**king hell, she is the worst ambassador ever,”‘ Jackie said with a laugh.

When she returned to work in January, the KIIS FM host looked noticeably slimmer.

Jackie first embarked on her weight loss journey in June 2021 after signing with WW, formerly known as Weight Watchers.
