A thug jailed for 11 years after trying to hack a man’s hand off with a machete has been brazenly using Facebook and posting selfies from his prison cell.
Martin Grant pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm at Bristol Crown Court in May this year, following the attack in August 2016.
But since being sent to jail, the 27-year-old has boasted about watching the Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor boxing match and dared a Vodafone worker to come into his cell.

Grant has posted numerous smiling selfies and pictures of his bulging muscles on Facebook.
He even asked his 373 Facebook friends how he could watch the Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor box match from his phone on August 26.
Grant later responded to one, writing: ‘I’m watchen it bro (sic).’
He also posted a row he had with Vodafone customer care while trying to top up his phone credit.
He said he complained to them the network was down, before the staff member put the phone down on him.
Grant wrote in his post: ‘Gets pure brave over the phone, get da t**t in here he be screaming like a rat!!? Lol.’
Grant, from Stockwood in Bristol, was jailed on May 29 for attacking Neil Winterson, 36, on August 28, 2016.
Grant attacked Neil Winterson, 36, with a machete, nearly hacking off his right hand
The court heard Grant picked up Mr Winterson before they headed to a property to buy drugs.
While in the car Grant was said to have turned on Mr Winterson and hit him, leaving him with blood coming out of his ear.
He then attacked him with a machete, leaving Mr Winterson with a partially severed right wrist as well as cuts to his head and back.
Mr Winterson told the court he thought he had lost his hand during the terrifying ordeal, which only came to an end when members of the public intervened.
Grant pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm and was jailed for 11 years and three months at Bristol Crown Court.

The Ministry of Justice has now stepped in and taken ‘immediate action’ to have the content taken down.
A Prison Service spokesperson said: ‘This behaviour is completely unacceptable.
‘We are clear that those who break the rules will be punished and can face extra time behind bars.’
Taking a mobile phone into prison is a criminal offence, as is transmitting sounds or images from within a prison using a mobile phone.
But the possibility of an extra two years behind bars for the offence did not seem to stop Grant.
Since last November when the Ministry of Justice put detection measures in place, over 13,000 mobile phones and 7000 Sim cards have been recovered from prisons.
The Prison Service added: ‘We are taking decisive action to find and block mobile phones in prison.
‘This includes a £2 million investment to block mobile phone signals.’
Detective Constable Lee Booker said: ‘He only stopped when two brave members of the public saw what was happening and intervened.
‘I have no doubt the selfless actions of these two saved the victim’s life.’
