Bachelorette star Jake Ellis’ mother Robyn has died after a 25 year battle with cancer.
The reality TV star took to Instagram on Saturday to reveal the sad news, penning a heartfelt tribute to his mum.
‘Words will never describe the amazing woman that she was, she was our hero, the strongest and most special person in our lives and to the lives of many,’ Jake wrote.

Taking to Instagram, Jake shared a photo of him and younger brother Luke with Robyn, revealing she had died on Friday.
‘This is the hardest post I’ve ever had to do.. Yesterday we lost our beautiful Mother after her 25 year battle with Cancer,’ he wrote.

The reality TV star’s post was met with a flood of well wishers paying tribute to Jake’s mum.
Robyn was diagnosed with cancer when Jake was just seven years old and his younger brother was just two.
‘I remember mum had to be away from us for a long time. The smell of the hospital has always stayed with me,’ Jake told the Gold Coast Bulletin last June.
After 15 years in the clear the cancer came back in 2011, with Robyn hiding the extent of her breast cancer while Jake was filming The Bachelorette.
The Brisbane-based hunk bonded with Georgia Love over their family’s health struggles, with the newsreader’s mother Belinda also battling pancreatic cancer during filming.
Georgia’s mum tragically died just days after The Bachelorette finale aired in 2016.
