Jake Gyllenhaal put his best fashion foot forward as he stepped out in New York City on Monday night.

The Jarhead star looked to be in good spirits as he teamed it with a graphic sweater and light-colored slacks.

Jake’s black and white crew neck sweater created a striking contrast against his dark jacket.

He walked around the Big Apple in a pair of beige-hued sneaker boots as he greeted fans after leaving The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

The Los Angeles-bred entertainer commanded attention with a shadow of a beard and a tapered haircut.

Gyllenhaal, who’s the younger brother of actress Maggie Gyllenhaal, has been on a press tour for the animated film Strange World.

The adventure film also stars Gabrielle Union, 50, who joined him on Good Morning America earlier in the day.

The Strange World trailer premiered at the Disney D23 Expo in September.

Although he’s had an illustrious career, the project will mark Gyllenhaal’s first time in a Disney animated movie.

Over the weekend the Hollywood vet shared outtakes from the press tour and the film, writing in the caption: ‘We all live in a Strange World, and it is family — however yours is made up — that gets us through it.

‘A shout out to my family and to yours. Check out @strangeworld in theaters Nov 23rd!’

In addition to the upcoming feature, Jake talked about wrapping on the remake of the late Patrick Swayze’s 1989 action film Road House.

‘They’re big shoes to fill, but Patrick was a friend when he was here,’ he said of the legendary actor, who died of pancreatic cancer in 2009.

‘We made a movie when I was pretty young called Donnie Darko together,’ Jake added.

‘He was always so loving and lovely to me. I take that all to heart in playing the role and there are some things I take from him, but generally we made a whole new movie and I’m really excited about it,’ he added.
