Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury PPV price set at $49.99 in the States as US fans fume on social media

US boxing fans FUME as their PPV price for Jake Paul vs. Tommy Fury is set at FIFTY DOLLARS – despite the pair having just 14 pro fights between them – after they reached a third agreement to finally settle their rivalry in Saudi Arabia next month

Jake Paul and Tommy Fury are finally poised to settle their rivalry at the third time of asking – but US fans will have to pay $49.99 to watch their grudge match unfold.

Paul, the YouTuber-turned-boxer who has racked up six straight victories as a professional, has been scheduled to fight Tyson Fury’s younger brother on two separate occasions in the past.

Health problems forced Tommy to pull out of the original December 2021 date, before their rearranged contest eight months later fell by the wayside when he failed to gain entry to America.

Despite initially refusing to do business with Fury and his team again, Paul confirmed on Friday that the two parties have now reached a third agreement to battle it out in Saudi Arabia on February 26, and the PPV price has been set at $49.99 by ESPN+.

That figure has caused uproar amongst US boxing fans, who are adamant they won’t be coughing it up to watch two professional novices with a mere 14 fights between them.

One wrote on Twitter: ‘No one is paying $50’.

Another commented: ‘Lol at anyone who pays for this.’

A third joked: ‘That’s $49.99 that will be staying in my bank account.’

‘Madness [you can] pay for less for a world title fight,’ highlighted another.

‘You are having a laugh with that price,’ said one user.

Another quipped: ‘I wasn’t going to watch it and now I’ve seen that, I’m not going to watch it.’

While one cautious fan pointed out: ‘That’s if the fight happens’.

Paul has confirmed he is travelling to London this weekend to meet Fury in the ring, with the bitter foes planning to face off at Wembley Arena ahead of British light-heavyweight Anthony Yarde’s world-title shot against Russia’s Artur Beterbiev.

An initial February 25 date was reportedly changed to February 26 to avoid a clash with Floyd Mayweather’s exhibition against reality TV star Aaron Chalmers.

Paul will be looking to maintain his unbeaten record up against a professional boxer for the very first time, having previously taken on ex-UFC fighters, a former NBA player and one of his fellow YouTubers.

His most recent win came against Anderson Silva in October of last year, when he toppled the MMA legend via unanimous decision,

Fury, meanwhile, outpointed Daniel Bocianski when he last laced up the gloves in April last year.
