The Eagles and Vikings exchanged touchdown receptions of almost the exactly the same distance on Thursday Night Football, as DeVonta Smith’s long score was answered by rookie Jordan Addison just minutes later.

Smith got behind Akayleb Evans over the middle early into the third quarter, and his quarterback Jalen Hurts delivered a perfect ball to the receiver.

Smith jogged into the endzone untouched to complete a 63-yard-touchdown and give the Eagles a 27-7 lead with 10:54 remaining in the third period.

But Minnesota had an answer just moments later.

DeVonta Smith gave the Eagles a three-possession lead with a 63-yard touchdown

Facing a 3rd-and-10 on the following drive from the Vikings’ 38-yard-line, Kirk Cousins found rookie Jordan Addison over the middle for a long gain.

The receiver had to come back for the ball a bit, allowing Philly cornerback Josh Jobe to get his hands on him, but Addison broke free to reach the endzone for a 62-yard score.

The touchdown marked Addison’s second in as many games in the NFL.

Smith has also scored in both games this season.

The Eagles led 27-14 at the time of writing.
