James Maddison has stepped up his training in the Algarve ahead of joining up with his new Tottenham teammates later this week.
Maddison, 26, confirmed his £45m move from Leicester City to Spurs at the end of June, signing a five-year deal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after agreeing personal terms.
And while the England international is set to join up with his new club teammates – and manager Ange Postecoglou – on Wednesday, according to his Instagram account, he has started work early during his time off in the Algarve.
The attacking midfielder posted a picture of himself at a football training ground just after 8AM on Monday morning – showing that he is eager to get off the ground running in north London.
Maddison also took the opportunity to take in the gorgeous scenery of the Algarve by playing a round of golf, which was also proudly shared to the social media account.

Maddison’s exit from Leicester was expected following their relegation to the Championship, with the Foxes now rebuilding to try and get back into the Premier League at the first attempt.
On signing for Tottenham, Maddison said: ‘I feel a hunger about the place and I’m ready to get going!’
At his new club, he will be able to partner his England teammate Harry Kane in attack – if the national team captain is not tempted away by one of several interested parties.
It was reported that Spurs will reject Bayern Munich’s £70m move for Kane, as it falls short of their valuation, although the German giants are convinced that the move is wanted by the Englishman.

Meanwhile, Tottenham have offered Kane a significant hike in his salary if he pens a new deal with the club – although the forward has ‘no immediate intention’ of signing it, with his current contract expiring at the end of the forthcoming season.
Tottenham’s other purchases so far this summer include goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario and midfielder Dejan Kulusevski, who has been acquired on a permanent basis after a successful loan spell.
Spurs begin their Premier League campaign away at Brentford on August 13, before a home match against Manchester United six days later.
