Posing in black board shorts on Sydney’s northern beaches, the Packed To The Rafters star showed off every inch of his defined physique.
James admitted in the accompanying interview that middle-aged men, himself included, tend to have ‘a few pizzas around the midsection’ compared to Home And Away’s younger stars.
He took part in the eight-week body transformation program with fitness director Chief Brabon, following in the footsteps of Larry Emdur and others to get the ‘action hero’ body he so desired.

‘I wasn’t feeling overweight, but I didn’t feel in shape,’ James explained.
‘I’ve got a couple of mates at home in the same boat: with T-shirts on they’ve still got broad shoulders and can lift decent weights, but it’s all a bit wobbly.’
James’ regime over the two-month festive period involved four to five workouts a week, sometimes after the father-of-one had already worked 14 hours on set.
And the results, which are illustrated on the magazine’s cover, speak for themselves.

‘There are times when you feel your eyes wobbling in their sockets and you can feel your lunch coming up in your throat, and your usual reaction is just to stop,’ he said, describing the rigorous process.

Last month, James and Sarah confirmed their relationship after they were pictured walking hand in hand and sharing a tender moment in Byron Bay.
It comes after Woman’s Day reported in October that James had ‘fallen into the arms’ of his new co-star, who plays Willow Harris in Home and Away.
He was previously dating his other on-screen love interest, Isabella Giovinazzo, 27, however the pair are believed to have split in mid-2017.
