James Stunt moves into £14m mews house in London

Newly single James Stunt has moved into a multi-million pound Belgravia mews house as his bruising divorce from Petra Ecclestone continues through the courts.

The billionaire, 35, was pictured yesterday arriving at the property in the plush west London district in a jet black Rolls Royce.

Mr Stunt separated from Formula 1 heiress Ms Ecclestone, 28, after six years of marriage, and is currently embroiled in a bitter battle over their £5.5billion fortune.

The exact valuation of the house is unclear, but one on the street with the same number of beds is valued at £14m.

Mews houses are particularly valued among London’s super rich as they offer tranquil surroundings right in the centre of the capital.

Mr Stunt’s Rolls Royce was later seen parked in the cobbled mews behind his new property.

The gold bullion tycoon left his £100m marital mansion in June after he was evicted by his estranged wife.

The father-of-three was followed out of the gates by a fleet of luxury cars carrying his possessions and entourage.

It is not clear whether Mr Stunt is renting the property in Belgravia or has bought it outright.

Mr Stunt, who was once rumoured to be worth an estimated £3.3billion, was allegedly abusive, violent and took overdoses during his marriage to Petra, 28, the court has heard.

A highly-charged hearing took place at the Central Family Court in July, attended by some of Britain’s most high profile divorce lawyers.

The court heard that Mr Stunt had signed a prenuptial agreement worth £16million.

His assets were also said to include a wine collection worth up to £15million and two Chelsea properties worth up to £4million each.

The bad-tempered hearing boiled over when Mr Stunt slammed his hand onto a table and appeared to make a ‘gun gesture’ with his hand.

He then pointed at Petra’s father, 86-year-old Bernie Ecclestone, before calling him a ‘c***’ under his breath.

Stunt then tapped him on the shoulder and stormed out of the courtroom.

Mr Ecclestone stood up as if to confront him and started to follow him before the judge intervened.

The outcome of the split will be decided at a hearing in October.
