Footy great Adam Dykes has revealed heartthrob Rabbitohs halfback Jamie Humphreys boasted an incredible physique aged just 11.

Humphreys played his junior footy in Sydney’s Sutherland Shire with Dykes’ son Kade as well as current Cronulla Sharks winger Sam Stonestreet.

The trio were instrumental figures as De La Salle won grand finals for fun in Sydney’s south – and at the time, Humphreys was the young gun seemingly destined for the NRL.

And come Saturday afternoon at Shark Park, bragging rights will be on the line when Stonestreet lines up against Humphreys in the Cronulla versus South Sydney round-three clash.

‘Jamie was one of the most talented kids I’ve ever seen, Cronulla great Dykes told the Sydney Morning Herald.

‘When he was 11, 12 and 13, Jamie had a body like a bloody 18-year-old.

‘All the kids were skinny, but here was Jamie, built like an Adonis.’

It comes as NRL lmmortal Andrew Johns revealed he has a man crush on Humphreys, who kicked a clutch field-goal in South Sydney’s last start 25-24 win over the Dragons.

‘Is he single?’ Johns asked after seeing a photo of Humphreys shirtless on Channel Nine’s Sunday Footy Show.

When told that the youngster wasn’t in a relationship Johns said: ‘Look out the [Instagram] DMs.’

Unwanted by the Manly Sea Eagles and recruited as a back-up option for the Rabbitohs last year on a cut-price deal, Humphreys looms as an astute signing for Wayne Bennett.

Meanwhile, a defiant Lewis Dodd has declared he remains confident of making it in the NRL, refusing to let his belief waver while languishing in South Sydney’s reserve grade side.

One of the NRL’s marquee signings of 2025, the English halfback has been forced to start the season in club’s NSW Cup side after being overlooked for the Rabbitohs No.7 jersey, with Humphreys the preferred option.

‘I wouldn’t have come out here if I didn’t believe I was good enough to play in the NRL,’ Dodd said.

‘I know what my strengths are, I just have to be consistent.’
