Jamie Redknapp’s son, Beau, 15, is set to follow in his father’s footsteps as he signs for Premier League club

Jamie Redknapp’s son, Beau, is set to follow in his father’s footsteps as he has signed for Premier League club, Brentford.

Beau, 15, shared a picture of the moment he signed on Instagram over the weekend as his proud father looked on.

His brother, Charley, and father joined him for the joyous occasion.

Beau, whose mother is singer Louise Redknapp, penned alongside the post: ‘There we land. @brentfordfc.’

Jamie, who played as a midfielder for Liverpool and Tottenham in his hayday, showcased his pride in his son as he took to his comments to share his glee.

Jamie wrote: ‘My man,’ with a red heart emoji.

Mum Louise also made her own announcement.

Sharing the image of Beau signing for Brentford, she wrote: ‘Beyond proud of my Beau Beau, the hard work pays off! Congratulations on signing to @BrentfordFC. I love you so much xxx.’

The former Eternal star shares her two sons with her ex, England footballer Jamie, 50, who she divorced in 2017 after 19 years of marriage.

Louise is now dating a new partner named Drew, who has already been spotted spending time with the two teens in previous months.

The signing comes just days after Jamie slammed a Brentford player for inattentiveness as Liverpool stormed into an early lead.

Sunday’s clash marked Arne Slot’s first competitive game at Anfield, and the Dutchman made just one change to the side that defeated Ipswich on the opening weekend.

With play underway Thomas Frank’s side looked to land the first blow against the Reds, and won a corner in the opening stages.

The subsequent delivery was well met by Ibrahima Konate, and the hosts immediately launched into a blitzing counter-attack after Vitaly Janelt failed to dispossess Mo Salah on the edge of the box.

Diogo Jota picked up the loose ball and played in Luis Diaz, who summarily struck home to put the hosts in front on his 100th appearance for the Reds.

Speaking during the interval Jamie insisted the German midfielder’s failure to be adequately prepared for the potential of Liverpool to break from the corner had cost Brentford dearly.

‘Janelt, just keep your eye on him,’ the former England international said on Sky Sports.

‘He’s just not really alive, he’s playing with his nose, he starts playing with his shirt.

‘He’s not thinking “I’m the last line of defense here, this first contact I’ve got to win”.

‘Then Mo Salah wins that first duel, and straight away you are bang in trouble.’

‘From Brentford’s point of view, I just don’t see that risk-reward, especially a place like here. A lot of teams are trying to do it to condense teams, really make the pitch really small.

‘But once that ball comes out, if you don’t win that first contact, you got a 60-yard run back to your own goal, you end up in a right mess, just like Brentford did.’
