Jane Bunn announces surprising new career move

She’s the glamorous Channel Seven weather presenter known for her meteorological expertise and bombshell looks.

And Jane Bunn has added another feather to her cap after penning her debut children’s book. 

The beloved reporter, 43, announced her exciting new project on Instagram on Friday, sharing photos of herself proudly posing with her book in the Seven newsroom. 

‘I’m so excited to share a sneak peek of my soon to be released children’s book ‘Storm’. Such a thrill to see the shiny, finished product!’ Jane wrote in her caption.

Storm was illustrated by artist Dasha Riley and will be published on August 1st. 

The front cover depicts a cartoon version of Jane dancing in a lightning storm with her white dog. 

Fans were thrilled by Jane’s new project, with one commenting: ‘That’s great Jane, all your weather knowledge being passed on to the kids in a great way. Maybe you will inspire a future meteorologist!’ 

‘Omg how cute, I need to buy this. My 2 year old always says Jane Bunn every night waiting for the weather to come on haha,’ another enthused.

The Channel Seven weather presenter has somewhat of a cult following in Melbourne.

Jane, who has been with Seven since 2014, has even been dubbed as Australia’s most popular weather presenter. 

In March, Jane had a tribute rap song written about her by ChatGPT, the artificial intelligence chatbot tool.

Consisting of four verses and a chorus, the song is written as a ‘rap’ that describes Jane as a ‘Queen of meteorology’ before listing her talents as a weather presenter.

Meanwhile, the song’s chorus includes the lyrics: ‘Jane Bunn she’s the one, she knows the forecast before its begun, she’s got the radar, the maps, and the sun, Jane Bunn, she’s second to none’.

Jane posted the hilarious ‘rap’ lyrics to her official Instagram on Monday and appeared to approve the tribute.

‘Apparently ChatGPT wrote this rap about me,’ Jane captioned the shared.

‘That’s pretty awesome and hilarious at the same time,’ she added.
