Janet Jackson left Scott Mills speechless when she revealed who her very famous cousins are during an appearance on BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show. 

The legendary singer, 58, who has embarked on her Together Again tour, joined the broadcaster, 51, to discuss her 51 years in entertainment and recent shows. 

While playing Do I Do by Stevie Wonder in the studio, Scott said: ‘Someone told me this earlier, are you related to Stevie!?’    

Revealing that she is cousins with not only Stevie but also Tracy Chapman and Samuel L Jackson, Janet admitted that not many people know.

She explained:  ‘Yes he’s our cousin, not a lot of people know that, he’s our cousin on my mothers’ side.’

‘That has blown my mind!’, Scott exclaimed. 

Before Janet added: ‘So is Tracy Chapman. So is Samuel L Jackson.’

Scott continued: ‘Is this blowing anyone else’s mind!! So, Stevie Wonder…’, ‘Cousin,’ Janet confirmed. 

Scott responded: ‘Samuel L Jackson?’

‘He would be a cousin too, well he’s not my brother!’ Janet laughed. 

Elsewhere, the musician explained how she is paying homage to her late brother Michael during her shows. 

Scott said: ‘There is an amazing moment when you perform Scream tell us about that.’

She explained: ‘I love that song and I guess its just a homage to my brother and us working together and those memories and people go crazy when he appears (on the screen) they just love it so it’s nice.’

Last month, Janet confirmed she will begin a new residency in Las Vegas within months.

The iconic singer, will begin a string of concerts at Resorts World Las Vegas – with the first shows set to debut around the holiday season – DailyMail.com can exclusively confirm.

The star was said to be in the ‘final stages’ of signing her deal this week, with TMZ first reporting the shows.

Sources also claim the Velvet Rope hitmaker is set to ring in the New Year with a special New Year’s Eve performance at the venue.

Janet was reportedly officered a residency in London and passed on the offer because the Vegas deal was more lucrative.

She recently wrapped her much-anticipated Together Again Tour which saw her hitting 35 dates.
