This must be the most unlikely place you’d expect to see a member of her super-rich family, but pop star Janet Jackson has been spotted at a pawnbroker’s in Chelsea.
The American singer, 55, who has an estimated fortune of £150million, was seen leaving Prestige Pawnbrokers.
Janet — whose brother Michael Jackson died in 2009 — has lived in the capital on and off since marrying Qatari businessman Wissam Al Mana in 2012.

The superstar went low key for her outing, dressing in a long black coat teamed with a colourful silk scarf and quirky platform sneakers.
She wore black framed glasses and carried her phone on a cross-body strap for the outing.
Janet was seen leaving the shop underneath a sign which said, aptly, Posh Pawn — clutching what appeared to be a small box, before getting into a Range Rover parked outside the West London shop.

She made specific mention of her current relationship with the Cry Me a River crooner: ‘Justin and I are very good friends, and we will always be very good friends.’
The Velvet Rope artist added, ‘We spoke just a few days ago. He and I have moved on, and it’s time for everyone else to do the same,’

It wasn’t until the release of The New York Times documentary Framing Britney Spears debuted last February that the topic was brought to light again.
It spurred the Tennessee-born performer to issue a public apology to both women.
He said in the note, ‘I am deeply sorry for the times in my life where my actions contributed to the problem, where I spoke out of turn, or did not speak up for what was right.
‘I understand that I fell short in these moments and in many others and benefited from a system that condones misogyny and racism.’
Justin added, ‘I specifically want to apologize to Britney Spears and Janet Jackson both individually, because I care for and respect these women and I know I failed.’
