January Jones shared a rare photo of son Xander Dane via Instagram on Saturday.
The 46-year-old Mad Men star — who posed in a red and white striped bikini over the summer — marked the special occasion with a single shot of her and her only child posing in front of a beachside sunset.
The proud mom wrote, ‘Bday boy is a teen,’ along the bottom of the image, which sees her sporting a plaid mini skirt and beige, knit cardigan.
Xander, whose father’s identity Jones has never shared publicly, wore light-colored joggers and an argyle zip-up sweater as he wrapped an arm around his mother.
January covered her son’s face with a basketball emoji. She’s protective of his privacy and typically only posts about him on his birthday.

In the picture, the siren who is known for her icy blonde locks debuted a new brunette hair color.
She pulled the tresses into a ponytail with face-framing curtain bangs left loose at the front.
January bared her long, toned legs in her short skirt, which she teamed with white socks and black loafers.
Underneath her chunky cardigan she layered a crew neck white top that was slightly cropped to tease her tummy.
On Xander’s 12th birthday, the South Dakota-bred performer showed her son’s playful personality as she uploaded a boomerang of him dancing outside of Nobu Malibu to Instagram.
She wrote at the time, ‘Happy Birthday to my child. So proud to be yours. Couldn’t love you more.’
When he turned 11 in 2022, she shared a photo of herself in a colorful outfit and sporty orange sunglasses as she wrote on Instagram: ‘My son is 11yrs old today! I’m coping just fine (obviously), with grace and reflection.’
In 2013 the actress told The New York Times about her decision not to name Xander’s father: ‘That’s my son’s business. It’s not the public’s business.’

In September 2017, when her son was nearly six-years-old, Jones spoke to Red magazine about single motherhood.
‘I just don’t feel I need a partner,’ she expressed about parenting her child alone.
She noted, ‘Xander has a lot of bro time with the neighbor dads and my dad, who is super young. ‘It’s good to have strong women around a man to teach him to respect women.’
The actress added: ‘He doesn’t have a male person saying, “Don’t cry,” or “You throw like a girl.” All those s****y things that dads accidentally do.’
