Jared Leto certainly know how to get an audience’s attention.
The 51-year-old Academy Award winner was spotted on Monday in Berlin outside the Hotel de Rome when he began climbing up the stone walls of the hotel.
Although he didn’t attempt to go particularly high up, it seemed to have grabbed the attention of several nearby people who gathered around to watch.
It’s not clear why Leto was trying to climb the walls, and whether he was trying to film it or was simply goofing off.
The actor and musician was spotted outside the hotel just a day earlier with his rumored girlfriend, the much-younger model Thet Thinn, 27, in what appeared to be the first time they have been photographed together in public.

Whether his attempt to scale the walls was for a project, or just some spur-of-the-moment recklessness, it seemed to have totally absorbed a group of onlookers, some of whom had their phones trained on him.
He began by climbing up a chunky set of stone blocks, which gave him excellent handholds and allowed him to get solid footing.
After he was several feet above the ground, he was able to move sideways toward a small stone ledge above the side, which he then stood on in front of a tall window.

The shoot progressed with a scene outside the hotel in which they appeared to set off some kind of device filled with blue smoke, which engulfed the rocker.
The crew was too small to be part of a film shoot, and it didn’t have enough gear, but it may have been a project for social media, or even some kind of video for Leto’s band 30 Seconds to Mars.
The actor capped off his outing by taking a short stroll with a woman wearing a stylish white button-up blouse with thick green stripes and a matching set of baggy pants.

The group’s next date isn’t until August, when it will perform at Lollapalooza in Chicago.
The band members will follow that up with a performance in Atlanta in September and two separate festival performances in October in Las Vegas.
Late last month, Leto appeared on the Jo Whiley show on BBC Radio 2.
During their discussion, he made the surprising claim that he hasn’t cried in 17 years.
He added that the last time he got misty-eyed wasn’t even because he was sat, but ‘because I stubbed my toe.’
He joked that his lack of tears might be because ‘I’m just like a lizard,’ adding, ‘I don’t think my tear ducts work properly.’

‘Maybe I shed them all in Requiem For A Dream or something? I cried so much during the making of that movie,’ he said.
The famously brutal film, which was directed by Black Swan’s Darren Aronofsky and costarred Ellen Burstyn, Jennifer Connelly and Marlon Wayans, featured Leto as a young man in the throes of an escalating heroin addiction.
Though he tries to go straight and get rich quick by selling the drug, things go south for him and everyone around him in emotionally devastating ways.
