Jason Aldean has split from his Nashville-based publicity firm, The GreenRoom, who represented the top-selling country music star for nearly two decades.
After 17 years of working with the musical powerhouse on ten different albums, the multi-platinum entertainer, 45, will no longer be working with the top PR firm.
The separation comes after his wife Brittany Layne Kerr sparked backlash for using allegedly transphobic language in a controversial Instagram video last Thursday.

While GreenRoom co-owner Tyne Parrish did not reveal the reason behind why they have parted ways, he did tell Billboard that the decision was ‘difficult.’
‘Music has always been and remains The GreenRoom’s core focus, so we had to make the difficult decision after 17 years to step away from representing Jason,’ Parrish told the outlet.
He continued: ‘We aren’t the best people for the gig anymore, but will always be big fans of his music — he is one of the greatest live entertainers in country music.’

It comes after Brittany caused an online uproar after posting a getting-ready video, where she wrote, ‘I’d really like to thank my parents for not changing my gender when I went through my tomboy phase. I love this girly life.’
Under the post, Aldean commented: ‘Lmao [laughing my a** off]!! I’m glad they didn’t too, cause you and I wouldn’t have worked out.’
The post prompted country singers Maren Morris and Cassadee Pope to call her out.
Cassadee, 32, took to Twitter on Friday and responded with ‘You’d think celebs with beauty brands would see the positives in including LGBTQ+ people in their messaging. But instead here we are, hearing someone compare their “tomboy phase” to someone wanting to transition. Real nice.’
Maren, 32, joined in with her own, ‘It’s so easy to, like, not be a scumbag human? Sell your clip-ins and zip it, Insurrection Barbie.’

The XO Britt curator then doubled down in her Instagram stories, tagging Say It First singer Pope.
First she shared what a snap of the Twitter comments as well as her own sarcastic comment to Pope, in which she purposely referred to her as ‘Karen’ and thanked her for ‘calling me Barbie.’
Morris’ husband, Ryan Hurd, also tweeted that ‘Scoring quick points by picking on trans kids isn’t something that is brave at all.’

He continued: ‘I’m proud of Maren for sticking up for them. Badge of honor to have CO engage in completely normal discourse, too. Shut up and sing only applies to those who you disagree with.’
Then Brittany shared her own thoughts in which she compared so-called ‘gender-affirming care’ to genital mutilation in one slide, writing, ‘Some parents want to be accepted by society so badly that they’re willing to make life-altering decisions for their children who aren’t old enough to fully comprehend the consequences of their actions.’
Another questioned whether children younger than 18 should be able to choose to take puberty blockers, or undergo gender reassignment surgery.

Puberty blockers have often been described as ‘reversible,’ but scientists say there is insufficient research on their side effects.
They have been found to cause symptoms including brain-swelling and loss of bone density in some patients, and can also cause irreversible symptoms including sterility and loss of ability to orgasm.
Maren answered some of the remarks with her own video in Instagram stories, explaining,’ Ya’ll have been so sweet and supportive today of me and Cassadee. I will say, like, we can handle this s**t, we’ve dealt with idiots for years, you know, saying insanely stupid stuff at us, but like, I would say check on your trans friends, check on your gay friends, anyone that like, is in country music and had to look at that bulls**t today and feel subhuman.’

The Bones singer showed her support with ‘You know, I’m glad she didn’t become a boy either because we really don’t need another a**hole dude in the world. Sucks when Karens try to hide their homophobia/transphobia behind their “protectiveness of the children.” Weren’t they putting their kids in “Biden-is-a-pedo” shirts on social media? Sounds like a real safe way to protect them from millions of eyes!’
