Jason Kelce lands NEW media job – days before making ESPN debut

Jason Kelce has added to his media duties before making his debut on ESPN.

The former Eagles center, who retired earlier this year, is part of the Worldwide Leader’s Monday Night Football coverage and will begin his role when the Jets visit the 49ers early next week.

But he’s also now taken a job with Philly sports radio station 94WIP, as it announced on Wednesday.

The station said on its X page that Kelce would be taking calls every Thursday from 7:30-8:30am and discussing the Eagles.

WIP also shared a video of Kelce hopping into the studio during the station’s morning show and putting on a headset, as the Philly legend’s new role was formally announced on air.

Kelce, seen last season on an Amazon Prime Video broadcast, is joining 94 WIP

The role should be a rather natural fit for Kelce, who hosts the popular New Heights podcast with his brother Travis.

Furthermore, the 36-year-old still lives in the Philadelphia area with his family, though he may at times need to be in Bristol, Connecticut or New York City for his ESPN job.

On this week’s episode of New Heights, Kelce revealed how his continued presence at Eagles training camp this offseason could help his media work.

‘Selfishly I wanna stay involved in the game,’ he said. ‘I get to talk to [Eagles offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland], Cam Jurgens is the new starting center.

‘I feel like the more connected you stay to the game, the better I’m gonna be for Monday Night Football selfishly.’

However, he clarified that he wasn’t working with his old team in any official capacity.

‘For me, I’m not accepting any money from the Eagles. I don’t have an official position. I’m really just going there out of pure interest on my own, to keep my knowledge base of the game up,’ he said.

‘And obviously I’ve built up a lot of relationships with the people around that building that I’m gonna help out in any way I can. But the reality is, that’s not my job.’
