Jason Oppenheim felt ‘overwhelmed’ keeping Chrishell Stause relationship secret… but he’s grateful about being open about new relationship

Selling Sunset’s Jason Oppenheim opened up about his new romance with model Marie-Lou Nurk, saying how keeping his love life under wraps in his previous relationship with ex-girlfriend Chrishell Stause was ‘overwhelming.’

The star of the Netflix reality series, 45, told People in an interview published Monday that he wasn’t keen to relive what he went through previously in his romance with Stause, 41, as the pair secretly dated two months before emerging publicly with their relationship.

‘I didn’t want to go through that again,’ Oppenheim said of downplaying last year’s relationship with Stause, which ended in December. ‘We kept that private for a while, but we were so careful. And that was so difficult.’

The latest: Selling Sunset’s Jason Oppenheim, 45, opened up about his new romance with model Marie-Lou Nurk, 25, as he said keeping his previous relationship with ex-girlfriend Chrishell Stause, 41, under wraps was ‘overwhelming.’ He was pictured in LA last month

The real estate broker’s new romance with Nurk, a 25-year-old Paris native, was revealed in July when the pair was seen engaging in PDA in Mykonos, Greece.

They also spent time with one another in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and have future trips planned to Australia, Germany and Greece.

‘I suppose if we were being very careful, we just never would’ve kissed in public,’ the Oppenheim Group founder said. ‘But I certainly wasn’t thinking that we would get caught — and on some Greek island in a parking lot, too.’

Oppenheim said he’s ‘happy every day’ and ‘just very happy right now’ in his new romance, and ‘was also really happy with Chrishell,’ noting he didn’t ‘want to dismiss that relationship.’

Oppenheim said that while Nurk and Stause are ‘probably not going to hang out,’ they have met and been cordial with one another.

He said that he and Stause — who is now dating Australia-based musical artist G Flip, 27 — ‘are in a really good place’ at the moment.

Oppenheim added: ‘She wants me happy. I want her happy. I think we’re both in love and happy for each other.’

Oppenheim said that his series is going strong, and that there is growing anticipation of the spinoff series Selling the OC.

He said that Selling Sunset ‘created a genre’ in the reality TV industry, noting that ‘there’s probably 15 similar shows now.’
