Jason Sudeikis remembers the time ex Olivia Wilde shaved his head during an episode of Ellen

Jason Sudeikis made brief mention of ex Olivia Wilde while stopping by the Ellen DeGeneres show on Thursday.

The Ted Lasso star, 46, and Booksmart director, 37, split last fall, reportedly blindsiding the actor.

But Sudeikis fondly remembered a 2019 appearance on Ellen with Wilde, which he brought up while talking about his now-iconic TV mustache.

The clean shaven star was all smiles as he explained how daughter Daisy, five, took care of his grooming as soon as filming wrapped on the AppleTV+ hit.  

‘When you were done shooting, you let your daughter [Daisy] shave your mustache,’ Ellen said to Jason.

‘Yeah, yeah, just so she knew it was me,’ he smiled, before joking about paying his tot for the trim.

‘She’s five. She was actually four at the moment. But it was one of those clippers,’ Jason went on, pantomiming an electric razor.

‘But that’s my [thing],’ he add, before remembering a 2019 stop by the show where Ellen and Olivia shaved his head.

Not hesitating to mention her, he said: ‘You and Olivia cut my hair one of the last times I was here.’  

Ellen complimented the former SNL cast member for his gutsy move, saying: ‘I was gonna say, you’re really risky because I cut your hair when you were here last time.’

‘Yeah, no—you guys went at it,’ he laughed. ‘And now Daisy shaves my mustache. I don’t care.’

Upping the ante, Jason said: ‘I’m going to have [7-year-old son] Otis wax my chest. That’ll be the hardest gig of all. It’s a jungle down there.’

Jason and Olivia went public with their separation last November but a source alleged: ‘The split happened at the beginning of [2020].’

Still Sudeikis was reportedly blindsided to learn about her new relationship with Harry Styles, who she met while filming her movie Don’t Worry Darling.

Jason previously touched on the split in a GQ profile, telling the magazine: ‘I’ll have a better understanding of why [it happened] in a year. And an even better one in two, and an even greater one in five.’

Rumors about Olivia and Harry started circulating at the end of last year, which were later confirmed in January when they were seen holding hands at a wedding. 

A source told PEOPLE at the time that the couple were friends first but the ‘chemistry was very obvious’ to the point that the relationship ‘quickly turned romantic.’
