Jelena Dokic slams Bernard Tomic over I’m a Celeb gig

Tennis legend Jelena Dokic has published a bizarre opinion piece in the Herald Sun criticising Bernard Tomic for appearing on the new season of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

The 34-year-old plays armchair psychologist in the article, claiming that Bernard ‘needs help’ and that appearing on the Channel Ten reality series is ‘not the solution’ to the 25-year-old’s issues.

Jelena, who recently opened up about being abused by her father during her early years on the court, also urged people not to connect her own story with Bernard’s.

‘I’m not sure of his reasons, but going into a jungle where cameras are on you 24/7 is not the solution.’

Jelena then delved into her own story, before finishing by saying that she believes Bernard can still make a comeback and earn the forgiveness of the Australian public.
