She’s set to star in the much-anticipated sequel Beetlejuice Beetlejuice next month. 

And Jenna Ortega appeared to be taking inspiration from her screen alter-ego as she stepped out in New York City on Friday.

The actress, looked not unlike her character in an all-black ensemble made up of open blazer, skirt and black heels.

Jenna let her jet back locks flow free and shielded her eyes with a pair of sunglasses.

The Hollywood star looked in great sprits as she gave a wave and smiled upon going about her day in the Big Apple.

The star has been made an executive producer on the show for its second season whose showrunner is Tim Burton.  

It is thought that the second outing of the dark TV series will be released in 2025.

Upon its release, The  Addams Family spin-off became the biggest English language series for the platform, having been viewed by 150 million households, taking the record from Stranger Things.  

Last year Jenna’s reveal that she routinely changed lines in Wednesday’s script and became ‘almost unprofessional’ was criticized by fans and TV writers.

The actress raised eyebrows when she admitted she was not always happy with the script and began tweaking her lines in an interview on the Armchair Expert With Dax Shepard podcast.

She said: ‘There were times on that set where I even became unprofessional, in a sense, where I just started changing lines,’ she said.  

‘The script supervisor thought I was going with something,’ she explained, ‘and then I would have to sit down with the writers, and they’d be like, ‘Wait, what happened to the scene?’

‘And I would have to go through and explain why I couldn’t do certain things.’ 

During an interview with Vanity Fair, who also stars in the upcoming sequel to Beetlejuice, began by saying the entertainment industry is ‘so touchy-feely.’

‘Everybody wants to be politically correct, but I feel like, in doing that, we lose a lot of our humanity and integrity, because it lacks honesty,’ she told the publication. 

‘Imagine if everyone could say what they felt and not be judged for it and, if anything, it sparked some sort of debate, not an argument,’ she explained. 

‘Am I describing world peace?’ she said in a clearly playful tone.
