Jennifer Aniston voices the inner monologue of a nonverbal middle school girl in new film Out of My Mind

Jennifer Aniston, 55, has taken on a fun new role as the inner monologue of a middle school student named Melody Brooks.

Melody is nonverbal and has cerebral palsy in the upcoming film Out of My Mind.

In the teaser, Melody says, ‘Obviously this isn’t my voice. I can’t talk. And I can sound like whoever I want — so I picked Jennifer Aniston.’

The film is based on Sharon M. Draper’s 2010 novel of the same name and stars newcomer Phoebe-Rae Taylor as Melody.

A synopsis for the film states that Melody ‘has a quick wit and a sharp mind, but because she is nonverbal and uses a wheelchair she is not given the same opportunities as her classmates.’

But ‘when a young educator notices her student’s untapped potential and Melody starts to participate in mainstream education, Melody shows that what she has to say is more important than how she says it.’

Making the movie had ‘a profound impact on my life in so many ways, the most pronounced being that it has expanded my comprehension of humanity and our capacities for empathy, connection and growth,’ director Amber Sealey told People.

‘I hope people take away from this film that there are endless ways to communicate with each other, but we’ll never get to better understanding until and unless we make the time to stop, wait and listen – and value what we discover as a result,’ Sealey said.

Out of My Mind also stars Rosemarie DeWitt, Luke Kirby, Michael Chernus, Courtney Taylor and Judith Light and is available to stream on Disney+ on November 22.

The Friends star recently cleared up those pesky rumors that she had an affair with Barack Obama, 63, branding the tabloid rumor ‘absolutely untrue.’

During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday night, Jennifer set the record straight after the host presented her with the magazine that made the outrageous claim.

Wagging her finger, the Hollywood A-lister said: ‘Of all the calls you get from your publicist where you’re just like ‘Oh, no, what’s it gonna be?’ or you get an email saying some cheesy tabloid is gonna make up a story—and then it’s that…’

‘I was not mad at it,’ she then added with a giggle, before clarifying that the story is ‘absolutely untrue’.

‘So, the truth about Jen and Barack is that there’s no truth?’ Jimmy confirmed.

Jennifer continued: ‘I’ve met him [Obama] once. I know Michelle more than him.’

Joking, Jimmy then asked: ‘Is there a truth about you and Michelle?’

‘That is not true,’ she said with a smile.
