Jennifer Connelly shows off her ‘good side’ on the Brooklyn Nets jumbotron

Jennifer Connelly showed off her ‘good side’ while cheering on her hometown Brooklyn Nets over the weekend.

The 52-year-old actress – who was spotted on the Oscars red carpet last month with her 19-year-old son Stellan – took in Saturday night’s NBA playoff game between the Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers.

While the Nets lost, completing the 76ers’ sweep over the team, Connelly was still in good spirits, sharing a snap of her, husband Paul Bettany and their youngest child – 11-year-old daughter Agnes.

‘@brooklynnets jumbotron catching my good side, Connelly said in the caption of her snap, which showed her in mid-scream.

The actress was wearing a black t-shirt under a black leather jacket, flanked by Bettany on her left in a white shirt and brown leather jacket and their daughter Agnes in a black shirt and a baseball cap.

Connelly’s husband Paul Bettany joked in a comment of Connelly’s post, ‘My god you were invested.’

The outing with Connelly and her family came just a day after she wrapped production on her new Apple TV Plus series Dark Matter.

Series creator Blake Crouch took to Instagram on Friday, announcing production has wrapped on the show while sharing pics of him with several stars, including Connelly.

‘AND JUST LIKE THAT… DARK MATTER SEASON 1 IS A WRAP!!! Feeling a crazy swirl of emotion today as we wrap principal photography,’ he said.

‘Excitement. Exhaustion. Relief. Joy. Everything bittersweet that comes with turning the last page on a major life chapter,’ he added.

‘But more than anything, I feel overwhelming gratitude to my Dark Matter family, the greatest cast and crew I could have hoped for,’ he said.

‘Gratitude to my partner in life and creativity, Jacque Ben-Zekry, my producing partners, Matt Tolmach and David Manpearl, and everyone at Sony and Apple who entrusted me with this undertaking, and in doing so gifted me the most beautiful creative experience of my career—one that brought so many lovely and wildly-talented people into my life,’ Crouch said.

‘And finally… gratitude to this extraordinary city for being my home for nearly a year. Chicago, I already miss you…’ he concluded.

The series is based on Crouch’s own 2016 novel of the same name, which he adapted for the screen himself.

The story follows Jason Dessen (Joel Edgerton) a physicist, professor, and family man who – ‘one night while walking home on the streets of Chicago – is abducted into an alternate version of his life,’ according to the show’s description.

‘Wonder quickly turns to nightmare when he tries to return to his reality amid the multiverse of lives he could have lived,’ the description continues.

‘In this labyrinth of mind-bending realities, he embarks on a harrowing journey to get back to his true family and save them from the most terrifying, unbeatable foe imaginable: himself,’ the description concludes.

Connelly plays Jason Dessen’s wife Daniella, with Oakes Fegely, Jimmi Simpson, Alice Braga and Dayo Okeniyi also starring.

While no premiere date has been given, Crouch said in a comment of his Instagram post it will likely debut in ‘early 2024.’

Connelly will wrap up the final season of her TNT series Snowpiercer later this year, though it’s unclear when that will debut.

She also stars in the writing and directing debut of her co-star Alice Englert, entitled Bad Behaviour, which debuted at the Sundance Film Festival in January.
