Jennifer Garner looks chic in a grey blazer co-ord at a screening of her new Apple TV+ series

She takes the leading role in new mini-series The Last Thing He Told Me.

And Jennifer Garner nailed a chic look on Friday night as she headed out to a special screening of the Apple TV+ thriller series in Los Angeles.

The actress, 50, opted to go understated with a grey suit co-ord, featuring an oversized blazer and tailored trousers to match.

Adding a scoop neck vest underneath, she slightly elevated her height with a pair of pointed toe court heels.

The highly-anticipated thriller, which is based on the best-selling novel of the same name written by Laura Dave, hit the streaming service that day – with Jennifer watching it first alongside her co-stars.

For the screening, her chestnut brown locks fell into a tousled curl, whilst she kept her complexion lightly brushed with soft make-up.

Jennifer beamed for some solo snaps before joining her co-stars for some at the event, including Aisha Tyler and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.

While the actors also took to the stage for a Q&A following the screening to discuss their brand new project.

Jennifer was cast to portray the leading role of Hannah in the upcoming series, which initially had been given to fellow actress, Julia Roberts.

During an interview with Entertainment Weekly earlier this month, Jennifer expressed how badly she had wanted to be cast as Hannah, and the lengths she had taken to try to get the role. ‘I went for it.’

‘And I stayed up all night writing letters, like all night, like saw the sunrise, just writing and rewriting letters and sending these letters out. And then the next night, I did it again.’

The premise of the show follows, ‘A woman who forms an unexpected relationship with her 16-year-old stepdaughter while searching for the truth about why her husband has mysteriously disappeared,’ according to an official IMDB synopsis.

Jennifer’s husband in the series, Owen, is played by Game Of Thrones alum Nikolaj, and her teenage stepdaughter is portrayed by Angourie Rice.

‘The show is really a love story between two women: A girl who does not know how to have a mother, and a woman who does not know how to be a mother,’ the actress further expressed to the outlet.

‘And they start out in an adversarial role with each other, and their lives are completely blown up in such a way the stakes could not be more high, that they have to start working together as a team, whether they like it or not.’

The screening was a more low-key event, as opposed to the series’ star-studded premiere the evening before.

Arriving at that, Jennifer looked stunning in a white pencil midi dress as a slew of stars such as Reese Witherspoon came out to support.
